-Private booths and a women-only floor are also available, providing a relaxing space open 24 hours a day-

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and COO: Nakanishi Kazuo / hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA) is pleased to announce that it has officially opened "TSUTAYA BOOK APARTMENT," a service based on the concept of a common living space that provides a relaxing space and working space centered around "books," on the 4th to 6th floors of Shinjuku Minim Building I and II today, Wednesday, December 6th.

Our survey revealed that Shinjuku, which boasts the world's highest number of annual passengers and is a popular city for both domestic and international tourists, is visited by many people every day, but many people are dissatisfied with the lack of "spaces where they can relax" or "places where they can unwind."Based on the results of this survey, TSUTAYA BOOK APARTMENT will create the most relaxing and comfortable space in Shinjuku, offering new opportunities for discovering books and proposing a new style of book buying.

You can bring your coffee purchased at Starbucks on the 3rd floor to the coworking space on the 4th floor, where you can concentrate on your work and books provide an environment where new ideas can be born.

On the fifth and sixth floors, we have a shared space where you can take off your shoes and relax, as well as private booths where you can sit back and read books and manga and find the book you're looking for. We offer a comfortable space in the heart of the bustling Shinjuku area, open 24 hours a day.

Furthermore, to meet another need in Shinjuku, "women-only" facilities, the sixth floor has been designated as a women-only floor. The 5th floor is fully equipped with lockers, shower rooms, and powder rooms, as well as a 12-person tatami area perfect for girls' get-togethers, to accommodate a variety of customer needs.

Additionally, the basement floor of the building houses a book store with books selected by TSUTAYA BOOK APARTMENT and a sake collaboration bar called "know by moto." On the first floor, there is a FamilyMart with a special focus on interior design and product selection, and on the third floor, there is the largest Starbucks Coffee in the Shinjuku area, with 185 seats.

Additionally, on the fourth floor of the building, there will be a "KANAERU" (RAKUNEW x GREEN FUNDING) corner, jointly operated by Time Machine Co., Ltd. and One More Co., Ltd., both group companies of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., where visitors can experience and be among the first to purchase futuristic IoT gadgets and products born from domestic and international crowdfunding.
