Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; hereafter referred to as C.E.), a member of the CCC Group, has acquired all shares (99.9% of voting rights) of Shufunotomo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; hereafter referred to as Shufunotomo) held by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd., making it a subsidiary as of December 15, 2017.

Shufunotomosha has contributed to the revitalization of the publishing market through the creativity and editorial expertise it has built up over its 100-year history. In recent years, the company has been proposing lifestyle ideas for a wide range of readers, including magazines such as "Ray" and "mina" that propose fashion culture categorized by generation and genre, publishing lifestyle and practical books on cooking, childcare, health, etc., and launching the light novel label Hero Bunko.

C.E., which owns several publishing companies that excel in proposing lifestyle ideas, has now acquired Shufunotomo, a company that has continued to provide attractive lifestyle information primarily to women, as a subsidiary. By making use of Shufunotomo's editorial capabilities, know-how, and relationships of trust with business partners and readers, C.E. hopes to combine these with the CCC Group's various businesses and planning capabilities to propose new lifestyle ideas.

In addition to publishing in collaboration with C.E.'s video and music businesses, we will contribute to the revitalization of the publishing industry by developing multi-dimensional services that utilize the CCC Group's resources, such as its membership base, store platforms including TSUTAYA and Tsutaya Bookstores, and the T-Point database.
