--Western Japan's largest library and cafe finally opens on February 3rd!--

Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture (Mayor: Kimura Kenichiro, hereinafter referred to as "Shunan City") will open the "Shunan City Tokuyama Station Front Lively Exchange Facility and Shunan City Tokuyama Station Front Library (hereinafter referred to as "Tokuyama Station Front Library")" in front of Tokuyama Station on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Through our partnership with Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Masuda Muneaki, hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), we aim to create a space that is more accessible to Shunan residents, where people can gather and learn.

The concept of the new Tokuyama Station Library is "a place to meet your future self."As a library that connects people with the city of Shunan, it is open 365 days a year, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

10 Features of Tokuyama Station Library

1) This is a library adjacent to Tokuyama Station. It is easily accessible from the free passageway, and there are terrace seats near the entrance and on each floor that can be used as a waiting area while waiting for a train or someone to pick you up.
2) A library that is open 365 days a year. 　Opening hours are from 9:30am to 10pm.
3) At the entrance on the second floor of the library, there is a sales corner where you can find food and miscellaneous goods from Yamaguchi Prefecture, including Shunan, and where you can also use it to choose souvenirs.

4) The venue has approximately 550 seats. We have created a library where you can relax and enjoy your stay. The facility is fully equipped with Wi-Fi and approximately 130 seats with power outlets are available.
5) There is a separate children's library on the second floor, providing a space where children can get a little excited without feeling uncomfortable. We welcome children to a place where they can learn and play freely.

6) Starbucks Coffee will be located on the first floor. You can enjoy books from the library or bookstore while drinking the coffee you purchased. 　
7) The Tsutaya Bookstore, which stocks over 60,000 books including magazines and the latest titles, is located next to the library to complement it.
8) There is a service that allows you to pick up materials available for loan at the Central Library at Tokuyama Ekimae Library on the same day.
9) Upon entering the first floor entrance, you will be greeted by an 18m wide x 5m high artwork that creates an overwhelming space surrounded by books.
10) "Futaba Fruit Parlor", a collaboration with a fruit store, will open. We offer a dessert menu of around 20 items, including parfaits, pancakes, and sandwiches made with plenty of seasonal fruits, as well as light meals such as curry and doria. It creates a relaxing and enjoyable time for the whole family.
