- Aiming to revitalize the Okinawa regional economy by utilizing the T-Point network -
Makeman Co., Ltd. (Head office: Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Junichi Miyagi; hereinafter referred to as "Makeman"), which operates home improvement stores in Okinawa, and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and COO: Kazuhiko Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") are pleased to announce that they have entered into a points program agreement and will launch the T Point service at all nine home improvement stores operated by Makeman this fall.
Okinawa is the region in Japan where T Cards are most widely used, with 870,000 T-members using T Cards in Okinawa, accounting for 60% of the prefecture's population. The reason why it has become so popular is that T Points have been introduced at stores where people frequently shop on a daily basis, such as convenience stores, grocery stores, drug stores, and department stores. Currently, there are 1,290 stores in Okinawa that offer T-Point services, creating an environment where T-Points can be accumulated and used in all aspects of daily life, including clothing, food, and housing.
Now, T Points will be introduced at Makeman, the largest home improvement store in Okinawa, meaning that T Points can be earned and used at home improvement stores in addition to convenience stores, supermarkets, and drugstores, further expanding the convenience of T Points in Okinawa. Makeman will utilize the T-Point database to optimize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and sales promotion in order to offer services suited to customer needs and diverse lifestyles. T Point Japan will utilize the T Point network to promote sales promotions using T Points and mutual customer referrals between affiliated stores, thereby promoting the revitalization of the Okinawa regional economy and continuing to expand services for T Points as the No. 1 common point in Okinawa.
Makeman and T Point Japan will use T Points to provide services that will please everyone living in Okinawa. Details of the T-Point service at Makeman will be announced once they have been decided.
