This year's winner for Best Adapted Screenplay is James Ivory, a renowned director known for films such as The Remains of the Day. He was only responsible for the screenplay for this film, and at the age of 89, he has demonstrated his undiminished talent, becoming the oldest person to win an Academy Award in any category, beating the previous record of 82-year-old Christopher Plummer, who won the Best Supporting Actor award for Beginners in 2012.

C.E. has previously worked with distribution companies to purchase notable films such as "Whiplash" (released in Japan in 2015), "Room" (released in Japan in 2016), and "Moonlight" (released in Japan in 2017). When "Moonlight" was released, we set up "Academy Awards Corners" in TSUTAYA stores nationwide and offered suggestions for looking back on past award-winning films, and when "Whiplash" was released, we ran a campaign to collect comments from customers, introducing the appeal of the film.

Furthermore, when packaged products are released, we conduct promotions that link in-store and online, leveraging the Group's comprehensive strength to connect excellent films with customers.
