- A lifestyle-oriented book and cafe opens in the nature-filled Uchiko area -

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA) and its subsidiary Taiwan Tien Tien Car Market Marketing Co., Ltd. opened the TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Neihu store, their third store in Taiwan, a lifestyle-oriented BOOK&CAFE that combines a bookstore and a cafe, in the CITY LINK Neihu store, a commercial facility operated by their Taiwanese partner company, the RUENTEX GROUP, on March 29, 2018.

"TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Neihu Store" is adjacent to "CITYLINK Neihu Store", the terminal building of MRT Neihu Station. Uchiko is a town rich in nature and conveniently located for transportation. It is a commuter town mainly for young families, but on the weekends it is also an area where many people visit to go hiking or take nature walks.

At the same time, there is a high demand for convenience when shopping and eating out, so by developing BOOK&CAFE as a space where customers can enjoy a cup of coffee and browse our wide selection of Japanese and Western books, as well as stationery and miscellaneous goods that can only be purchased here, we aim to create a special place where customers who live in Naihu and those visiting the area can take a break.

BOOK & CAFE will be developed as a Japanese-themed cafe run by Cafe Company Inc., combining with WIRED CHAYA, to allow customers to experience the spirit of Japanese hospitality and spend a relaxing time.

TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE plans to open a total of five stores in Taiwan by the end of 2018, and will continue to stimulate the creativity of Taiwanese people, offering new reading styles and exciting experiences, with the aim of becoming a special place loved by many.

1) BOOK & CAFE is a place where you can enjoy a variety of Japanese-inspired menu items while reading.
BOOK&CAFE offers a set meal-style food menu that includes rice bowls, soups, and small side dishes made with WIRED CHAYA rice, as well as coffee, fruit smoothies, and drinks with authentic matcha made using only the finest tea leaves from tea plantations in Kyoto and Nara.You can also relax and take your time choosing books before purchasing in the cafe space.

2) Proposing a lineup of Japanese and foreign books not available at other bookstores, focusing on "food," "lifestyle," and "travel"
We have a wide selection of approximately 10,000 Japanese magazines, Japanese books, and foreign books that are not available at other bookstores, focusing on the categories of "food," "lifestyle," and "travel."Additionally, by offering lifestyle categories such as "art" and "design," we will provide a space where you can experience a variety of cultures while surrounded by the natural beauty of the inner lake.

3) Specializing in Japanese stationery and miscellaneous goods, with a focus on TSUTAYA and Tsutaya Books's private brand products
The store stocks stationery and miscellaneous goods imported from Japan that are only available at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE, including TSUTAYA's private stationery brand "HEDERA" and miscellaneous goods brand "Lelierre," as well as private brand goods exclusive to TSUTAYA Bookstores and CCC Group's original natural cosmetics brand "Cu apothecary."
