--It can be used as a station waiting area, a place for civic activities, a kids' space, a reading space, a cafe, and a local information center, 365 days a year, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.--
Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture (Mayor: Yomiyama Yoji, hereinafter referred to as "Nobeoka City"), in partnership with Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Masuda Muneaki, hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), opened a complex facility nicknamed "Encross" in front of JR Nobeoka Station on Friday, April 13, 2018.
Encross is a place where anyone can use their imagination and spend their time freely for a variety of purposes, including as a waiting area for public transportation, a book reading space where you can read books freely, Tsutaya Bookstore, and a BOOK & CAFE where you can use Starbucks Coffee, and as a place for hobbies and raising children. Encross, whose concept is "a new and free town," aims to create a lively atmosphere in the center of town through civic activities.
Nine features of Encross
1) Open 365 days a year, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM (only the waiting area on the first floor is open from 7:30 AM)
2) You can enjoy the BOOK & CAFE where you can read 40,000 books. While enjoying a cup of coffee, you can enjoy books from the Tsutaya Bookstore in the library reading space anywhere in the facility.
3) We have 312 seats, free Wi-Fi, and power outlets.
4) As a facility that is easy for children and women to use, it is equipped with a variety of functions that are child- and woman-friendly, such as a kids' space and a cafe.
5) By having civic activities take place in an open space, we can create opportunities for interaction with people who share the same interests.
6) We hold a variety of events with over 30 civic groups, including those for hobbies, lifestyles, children, and self-improvement.
7) As an information dissemination station for Nobeoka, we will collect information about Nobeoka and disseminate it throughout Japan and the world.
8) "NOBEOKA 100 Mile Project" - Selected local products from within a 100-mile radius of Nobeoka
9) We have a waiting area at the station for those who want to arrive an hour early and wait.
