-With the theme of "The Future of Bookstores," this book proposes a "Neo Bookstore" for the internet age that will create the future of reading culture-

The Data Business Creation Lab (Representative: Jun Murai) of the Keio University Research Institute at SFC (Director: Hiroya Tanaka) will be hosting the 8th Data Business Creation Contest - Digital Innovators Grand Prix 8 (abbreviated as DIG 8) with the support of its business partner, CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura, hereinafter referred to as CCC Marketing).

1. Purpose
This data business creation contest is open to students from high school to graduate school across the country, and is based on the theme of "The Future of Bookstores." Participants will compete to propose "Neo Bookstores" for the internet age that will create the future of reading culture using book sales data, open data, and other data.
Keio University SFC Research Institute will work with its business partner CCC Marketing to manage the contest, including formulating the theme, judging, and awards. Additionally, CCC Marketing will provide book sales data from TSUTAYA and Tsutaya Bookstores to be used in this contest. Please note that the data you provide will be part of statistically processed data that cannot identify specific individuals.
CCC Marketing believes that it is its social responsibility as a company to give back to society and consumers the T Card data entrusted to it by its customers, and is working to make opportunities to access T Card data widely available. As part of this initiative, we will provide data to this contest, and hope that participants will be able to create businesses while interacting with the data, which will lead to the creation and rediscovery of new value in data.

Application start date: Friday, July 6, 2018
Entry deadline: Wednesday, August 22, 2018
Finalist teams announced: Monday, September 3, 2018
Final presentation and award ceremony: Saturday, September 15, 2018
                Held at the North Hall of Keio University's Mita Campus

Students enrolled in Japanese high schools, technical colleges, universities, and graduate schools (excluding those with work experience)
