T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Kazuhiko Kitamura) has been working on the "Reborn-Art Festival × T Card" since June 2017 as part of T Card's social value creation project, "T Card Everyone's Social Project"*1. This initiative continues the concept of the "Tohoku Support Project," which T Point Japan has been running since 2011 to support the smiles of children and community spaces in Tohoku. Meanwhile, the Reborn-Art Festival (RAF) is a new comprehensive arts festival where people can enjoy art, music, and food, taking place mainly in the Ishinomaki and Oshika areas, an area that was severely damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake. The concepts of T-Points and RAF matched, leading to the collaboration between the Reborn-Art Festival and T-Card.

"Reborn-Art Festival x T Card" is an initiative that brings together adults and children to participate in a festival of art, music, and food. The Reborn-Art Festival is held in Ishinomaki, where children are the main participants in creating artworks that are rooted in the local community and will serve as a source of regional revitalization for the future.
We are pleased to announce that the art works created by children as part of the 2018 "Reborn-Art Festival x T Card" have been completed and will be unveiled at the "Reborn Festival" to be held on September 2nd, the concluding event of "TRANSIT! Reborn-Art 2018."

At last year's "Reborn-Art Festival x T Card" event, children created a "turret used for Bon Odori festivals" which was used at the "Reborn Festival," which was attended by many people and was the closing event of "Reborn-Art Festival 2017."At a planning workshop held in April this year in collaboration with Ishinomaki City and the Ishinomaki City Children's Center "Ritsu"*2, the children came up with 30 themes centered around the "Reborn Festival," in response to the fact that the "Reborn Festival" has been positioned as a festival rooted in the local community and run by local people. As a result, "Let's create the fourth verse of 'Reborn Ondo'!" was chosen as the first theme.

"Reborn Ondo" was created last year as a Bon Odori dance that could be enjoyed by visitors to RAF and local residents of Ishinomaki together. The music was composed by Takeshi Kobayashi, and the lyrics and choreography were created by Ryohei Kondo of the contemporary dance company Condors. The lyrics of "Reborn Ondo" were written with the themes of "food" in the first verse, "music" in the second verse, and "art" in the third verse, but the fourth verse, written by the children this time, is based on the theme of "Dreams 100 years from now."At the production workshop held on July 14th, the children thought up the words to use in the lyrics in advance based on the theme of "Dreams 100 Years from Now," and together with Kondo Ryohei, they came up with the fourth lyric and choreography inspired by the lyrics, and then created the piece.

■ Lyrics of the fourth verse of "Reborn Ondo"
(A dream for 100 years from now)

We all drew it together
Ishinomaki in a hundred years
What kind of place is it?

Keep on dreaming
Deliver to the future, deliver to space
The world is at peace

I want to give flowers to someone
The future is where dreams take flight

Reborn Bonbon Art Bon
Her smile and tears are beautiful
Reborn! I stomped on it.
It's a festival at Reborn!

Reborn Bonbon Art Bon
A warm town filled with smiles
Reborn! Expand your horizons
Reborn!

The costs of producing the art were covered by T members, who contributed a portion of the T card issuance fee and half of the T points earned by using the social contribution T card, which was issued in July of last year. In addition, T Point Japan is also taking the lead in carrying out various charity projects.

T Point Japan aims to make T Points and T Cards "cultural infrastructure that connects people, and people and society," and will continue to work to create new social value.

[Project Overview of "Reborn-Art Festival x T Card"]
■Project name: Reborn-Art Festival × T-Card

■Project implementation period: June 2, 2017 - December 31, 2018
■Project Overview: In collaboration with Ishinomaki City, the host city of the "Reborn-Art Festival," this project involves children of Ishinomaki taking the lead in creating art pieces that are rooted in the local community and will serve as a source of regional revitalization for the future, in a festival of art, music, and food that can be participated in by both adults and children.

■What is the "Reborn-Art Festival"?
This is a new comprehensive arts festival that takes place mainly in the Ishinomaki and Oshika areas, where you can enjoy art, music, and food. The Ishinomaki/Oshika area was one of the areas that suffered major damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. The aim is for this venue to be a place where contemporary artists from Japan and abroad can visit and create works while interacting with the local community, where famous chefs from all over Japan can encounter local people and ingredients, where they can enjoy food that can only be tasted here, and where various styles of music events can be held, creating a place where various "encounters" can be created.

*1 T-Card's social value creation project utilizes 67 million T-members, 179 T-Point Alliance companies, and approximately 5 billion pieces of purchasing data provided by the T-Card to give back to society and contribute to consumers.
*2 Ishinomaki City Children's Center "Raitsu"...A facility for children planned and designed by children participating in the Ishinomaki City Children's Urban Development Club. "This facility was created and is run primarily by children to revitalize Ishinomaki. A place where everyone can feel comfortable and where children can communicate their thoughts to the public. " is the concept.
