SBI Securities Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masato Takamura; hereinafter referred to as "SBI Securities") and CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as "CCC Marketing") are pleased to announce that they entered into a capital and business alliance agreement in the financial business on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, and established a joint venture company on the same day.

1. Details of the partnership
Established a joint venture company, Smartphone Securities, to provide financial services using smartphones as the main channel

As of today, SBI Securities and CCC Marketing have established a joint venture, SBI Neo Mobile Securities Co., Ltd. (which is scheduled to change its name from "SBI Neo Mobile Securities Preparatory Company, Ltd." before the start of operations). SBI Neo Mobile Securities will be established to provide financial services primarily targeting younger customers, with smartphones as the primary channel. SBI Neo Mobile Securities has introduced the T-Point Program, which allows customers to earn T-Points based on their transactions and to use T-Points to purchase financial products through "T-Point Investment."In addition, CCC Marketing plans to utilize the marketing know-how it has cultivated to date to provide services that are easy to use even for customers with little investment experience. Furthermore, we will also consider utilizing T Card purchasing data to provide investment information services based on big data analysis.

2. Background and purpose of the partnership
Since launching its internet trading services in October 1999, SBI Securities has strived to provide the industry's highest level of service with some of the lowest fees in the industry, based on its management philosophy of "customer-centricity."Currently, we have over 4.4 million total accounts and boast a share of over 30% of domestic individual stock brokerage trading value, making us the industry leader*2. In recent years, we have been working to enhance our small investment services, such as lowering the minimum investment amount for investment trusts to 100 yen, and we are also focusing on providing services that make it easier for young customers and those with no investment experience to take the first step in asset formation, such as waiving the purchase fees for eligible products in NISA accounts.

CCC Marketing operates a marketing platform business based on lifestyle data from T-Point, a shared points service used by 67.88 million people*3, more than half of the Japanese population, and involving 179 companies*4. In particular, T Card users in their 20s account for 82.3% of the population in their 20s*5, and the card is popular among a wide range of generations, especially among younger generations. Now in its 15th year since its launch, T Points has grown into Japan's largest*6 common points service, which can be used in all aspects of daily life, including convenience stores, supermarkets, drugstores, restaurants, clothing stores, electronics retailers, mobile phones, online shopping, electricity and gas.

While the public and private sectors have been working together in recent years to move from savings to asset formation, cash and deposits are said to account for over 50% of household financial assets. SBI Securities and CCC Marketing have formed a partnership with the aim of expanding the base of individual investors and providing the most accessible financial services.

SBI Securities, which offers financial products to a wide range of customers, and CCC Marketing, which offers lifestyle suggestions, have now established a new securities company, which will enable SBI Securities to further approach younger customers and CCC Marketing to create new value for T Points.

SBI Neo Mobile Securities, which combines the assets of SBI Securities and CCC Marketing, is confident that it can communicate and provide "new value" in asset formation to customers, especially younger customers, who have felt that asset formation is a hurdle for various reasons, including financial and knowledge limitations.
