*Video interviews with the winners are also available. If you need one, please contact our public relations department.
This year, applications were accepted not only from venture companies offering services in the lifestyle field, but also from individuals and those in the planning stage where services or products were not yet complete. From the large number of applicants, seven teams took to the stage for the final judging session. For the first time, applications were also submitted by high school students, and a student team from Kaisei High School, who submitted a unique proposal, gave a special presentation.
After a rigorous judging process, the top prize, the "CCC Award," went to "ToryComics," a global comic app by ToryWorks, the "Excellent Award" went to "Wall Share," a sharing economy project for empty walls by 180 Co., Ltd., and the hastily established special award, the "TVP Award," went to "CAMETIS," a piano learning app by a team of students from Kaisei High School.
Final results of the 5th "T-VENTURE PROGRAM" and comments from the winners
・CCC Award: ToryWorks / Global comic app "ToryComics"
"ToryComics' motto is to share comics from all over the world in all languages. Although there are many digital comics available in Korea, Japan is still the kingdom of manga, so I thought a business partnership with Japan was essential, which is why I applied for TVP this time. We are still in our first year, so we need to establish a business model, and we are grateful to the mentors at the CCC Group for their advice."
・Excellent Award: 180 Co., Ltd. / Wall Share, a sharing economy for empty walls
"It started with the idea of making effective use of empty walls, and is a business model that creates a sharing economy that connects artists, advertisers, and end users, which in turn leads to regional revitalization. Our vision is to "change values 180 degrees."The judging criteria for this TVP included "unconventional projects," so we thought it would suit us and applied for TVP. Since the service has not yet been launched, we received support from a mentor at the CCC Group, right from the time we came up with a business model."
・TVP Award: Kaisei High School Student Team / Piano learning app "CAMETIS"
"We came up with the idea of creating an app that would allow better piano learning through a smartphone app. There are many business contests for high school students, but there are not many that can be planned together with people from companies. Among these, TVP had no restrictions on age or nationality, and applications were open even at the planning stage, so we applied for TVP, hoping to become like the past winners. We are still high school students and don't know much about society, so our mentors gave us detailed advice, and we are grateful for that."
The companies that received the CCC Award and the Excellence Award will gradually begin collaborating with the CCC Group's various businesses to develop services that will enrich the diversifying lifestyles of our customers.
*We will continue to make announcements regarding service collaborations in the future.
Through these efforts, the CCC Group will continue to strive to create customer value that is tailored to the diversifying lifestyles of its customers.
■General comments from the judging panel: Muneaki Masuda, President and CEO of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd.
"This time, everyone from high school students to Koreans took to the stage, making it a TVP with a diverse feel.
The world is changing at an incredible pace. We would like to broaden our horizons and make the world a more interesting place! We would like to do it again next time.
There is a Zen saying that goes, "Everything is created by the mind alone."This teaching states that everything in the world is created by the mind. It's people who think, "I wish there was something like this," "I wish there was a service like this," "I wish the world was more like this," or "I wish the company was more like this," and these ideas come to fruition. Things don't come into being suddenly without any thought. All of you who spoke today have many different thoughts and dreams, and those thoughts and dreams will now take shape. That is the main purpose of TVP.”
