INFORICH Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and COO: Kazuhiko Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") will launch a T Point service on "ChargeSPOT," a battery sharing service for smartphones and other devices, from December 10, 2018.
With the launch of this service, T Card users will be able to earn 1 T Point for every 100 yen spent on ChargeSPOT, and can use the accumulated T Points at ChargeSPOT from 100 points, with 1 point being worth 1 yen.
INFORICH launched its "ChargeSPOT" service in April 2018 and has expanded the installation of "ChargeSPOT" in many stores, including TSUTAYA, commercial facilities, and restaurants. Going forward, the company plans to expand the service to airports, train stations, public facilities, and other locations so that it can be used by anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Through this service, INFORICH and T Point Japan will provide 68 million T members with an environment in which they can use their smartphones more conveniently and safely.
■What is "ChargeSPOT"?
ChargeSPOT02.pngWhenever you run out of battery while you're out and don't have your charger or cord with you and need to borrow one, you can rent a portable smartphone charger at the nearest charging spot and return it to another charging spot. For example, this is a sharing service that allows you to borrow and lend chargers across borders; for example, you can borrow a charger at Shibuya Station and return it at a cafe in Omotesando, or borrow one in Tokyo and return it in Hong Kong. In addition to the dedicated ChargeSPOT app, it can also be used as a mini-program within WeChat, China's most popular social networking app with over 1 billion users.
■How to use "ChargeSPOT"
(1) Download the application and register an account.
(2) Search for the location of the battery stand, go to that location, and scan the QR code displayed on the machine screen.
(3) The battery will come out of the machine, so you can take it and charge it on your own device at any time.
(4) When returning the product, locate the battery stand and insert the battery correctly into the empty slot.
■ "ChargeSPOT" usage fee
Return within 1 hour: 100 yen (108 yen including tax)
Over 1 hour, return within 48 hours: 100 yen (108 yen including tax)
*The guarantee fee is 1,980 yen (2,138 yen including tax). If the item is not returned within 48 hours, no refund will be given.
