-Event to celebrate the publication of "METAMORPHOSIS," a collection of works featuring archival footage of "Throne," currently on special exhibition at the Louvre Pyramid, and a new edition of the work.-

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda, hereinafter referred to as CCC), whose business domain is "lifestyle proposals," will hold the "Throne -Louvre Pyramid-" exhibition, organized by its group company CCC Art Lab Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kazuo Nakanishi), which proposes an art-centered lifestyle, at Ginza Tsutaya Books (GINZA ATRIUM, 6th floor, GINZA SIX) from Tuesday, February 5th to Monday, February 11th, 2019.

Since July 2018, sculptor Kohei Nawa's large-scale work "Throne" has been on display inside the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, France. When Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore opened in 2017, we asked Kohei Nawa to create a piece of art that would be appropriate for the new Tsutaya Bookstore, which is themed around art and Japanese culture, and he created the golden throne "Throne (g/p_ boy)."That was the encounter between Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore and "Throne."

The upcoming "Throne -Louvre Pyramid-" exhibition will feature archival footage of "Throne," currently on display at the Louvre Pyramid, as well as the unveiling of a new edition.

At the same time, the dynamic development of Nawa Kohei's activities and sculpture series will be compiled into an art book entitled "METAMORPHOSIS," which will be published as an original collection of works by Tsutaya Bookstore on February 4, 2019, along with a wealth of photographic materials and critical text. The book contains over 150 works, mainly from 2011 onwards, spanning a total of 336 pages. In addition, we will be publishing a special edition of this collection of works, including limited edition multiples. Please look forward to it.
