TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Kazuo Nakanishi; hereinafter, "TSUTAYA"), Niantic, Inc. (Head office: California, USA; CEO: John Hanke), and The Pokémon Company (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tsunekazu Ishihara) have entered into a partnership agreement for the location-based game app "Pokémon GO" for iOS and Android. Based on this agreement, TSUTAYA stores nationwide (with some exceptions) will appear as new "PokéStops" and "Gyms" in the "Pokémon GO" game starting Wednesday, January 16th.

Through its wide-ranging collaboration with Niantic Inc. and The Pokémon Company, TSUTAYA will continue to strive to be "the place where you can find what you love."

The rules that you must follow when playing Pokemon GO are clearly stated in the Pokemon GO Trainer Guidelines and the Pokemon GO Terms of Service. TSUTAYA, Niantic, Inc., and The Pokémon Company will continue to make efforts to raise awareness so that players can enjoy the games safely and abide by laws, rules, and etiquette.
