Daikanyama T-Site's music floor becomes a cafe filled with music and a great view

The music floor on the second floor of Daikanyama T-Site Building No. 3 will be renovated and transformed into a "cafe space filled with music and a great view."

We have a wide selection of CDs and records selected by our music concierge, including not only new releases but also classic and rare albums. We also have a wide selection of music magazines and music-related books (both Western and Japanese).

In addition, a new lounge called "Daikanyama Session" will be opened where talks and live performances can be held. We will be hosting a number of events that can only be found in a homey lounge, such as enjoying the performances of artists right in front of you with your eyes and ears, or listening to talks that give you a glimpse into the artists' true selves.

There are 160 seats on the floor. You can sit by the window where natural light pours in and look out at the greenery of the trees, or relax on the sofas in the lounge, and enjoy music while reading back issues of music magazines available for perusal, accompanied by drinks sold on the same floor or coffee from the Starbucks in the building.
　Tsutaya Bookstore, which proposes lifestyles through culture, including books, music, and movies, will provide products and experiences on this music floor to make it a place where music and people can connect and where music lovers can gather.

Daikanyama T-Site Music Floor: 10 Features

(1) The concierge will welcome you
Guests will be greeted by concierges well versed in their respective music genres, including Ryoko Oikawa (Jazz Concierge), who has worked as a producer of jazz live shows and CDs; Kumiko Asai (Classical Concierge), a vocal music graduate who currently performs in operas; and Tomohiko Suzuki (Rock & Pop Concierge), a veteran who has worked in a CD shop for 30 years, who will make music suggestions.

(2) Various talks and live performances
Daikanyama Session is a music lounge with lounge sofas surrounding a grand piano, and hosts a variety of special events where you can spend time in the same space as your favorite musicians. Enjoy the talk that gives you a glimpse of their true selves and the live performance right in front of you.

The Petrols appeared at the opening event. Despite rarely appearing in the media, they have gained a strong following thanks to their solid musical talent, and we will be bringing you a live performance by them. *Reservation required (Online reservations scheduled to begin June 24th)

(3) A collection of new releases, classics, and rare records
We have collected CDs and records that are not available on streaming services, as well as new releases, classics, and rare records recommended by our concierges of Western and Japanese rock and pop, jazz, and classical music.

(4) Reading music. 2,500 magazines and books
The site archives music magazines such as "rockin'on," "ROCKIN'ON JAPAN," "Music Life," and "Music Magazine" from the 1970s to the present. You can read freely while enjoying a drink in the cafe space. We also have a wide selection of Western and Japanese books on music for sale.

(5) By the window or on the lounge sofa? Each person's special seat
We have 160 cafe seats on the music floor, which is filled with natural light. At the window seats, you can enjoy books and music while looking out at the greenery of the trees at Daikanyama T-SITE. The lounge space also has comfortable sofa seats. Relax with a drink from Starbucks or the lounge.

(6) Listen to your favorite music with someone you love
Music requests are accepted on the floor. We will play requested music from a lineup of 9 million songs, from classics to indie hits. Enjoy the music and chat with your favorite people.

(7) Exhibiting artwork that makes you feel like you can hear the music
We will be holding an exhibition where you can experience the worldview of artists, including record jackets designed by leading illustrators and artists, and artwork depicting musicians.

(8) Listen beautifully. High-Performance Audio
We have carefully selected tools for listening to music, such as speakers, record players, wireless earphones, and smartphones, with an emphasis on design and functionality. We offer the essentials for a quality music life. We will also introduce high-grade audio models on a monthly basis. Experience the power of sound.

(9) Exclusive merchandise and delicious drinks
We stock products that can only be purchased here, such as limited edition records and merchandise developed in collaboration with artists. Alcoholic and soft drinks are available at the drink counter.

(10) Rock & Pop, Jazz Rooms
CDs, records and related books. A small space that gathers items from that genre. You can immerse yourself in the world of music in a study-like space filled with only your favorite things.
