- "Code Blue: The Movie - Doctor Helicopter Emergency Lifesaving" is the top DVD rental, while the popular "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is the top comic book seller.

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Nakanishi Kazuo; hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA") is pleased to announce its 2019 annual rankings for video, music, and comic rentals, as well as its annual rankings for book, video, music, and game sales, based on data from TSUTAYA users. (Detailed rankings for each genre are available on the website. )

The first feature film version of the popular series, "Code Blue: Doctor Helicopter Emergency Lifesaving," took first place in the annual DVD rental rankings. Overall, DVD rentals tend to favor foreign films with a strong action and fantasy element, as well as Japanese films with human dramas such as "Code Blue," "The Crimes That Bind," and "Shoplifters."
In music, it looked as though the entire ranking would be filled with Japanese artists, but following the success of the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody," Queen's "Jewels" managed to slip in and get some revenge.

In the book category, the top spot went to "Everything is a matter of chance: The words of Kiki Kirin," a collection of quotes by actress Kiki Kirin, who passed away on September 15th last year. The somewhat humorous yet profound words are especially popular among women over the age of 50.
In both DVD/Blu-ray sales and music album sales, the best album/video clip collection of Arashi, who will be going on hiatus on December 31, 2020, undoubtedly took first place.
