■Comments from the final judges
・Shinobu Terashima (actress)
"Today, as a judge, surrounded by talented producers, I offered my opinion as an actor about the meaning of this award. The final speakers were selected from over 600 entries, and three of them received awards, so I imagine it must have taken a lot of effort on both the part of those who chose and those who were selected. I believe that if you have passion, you can definitely make a movie. As an actor, I hope that from now on, many more Japanese films that will go down in history and that we can be proud of will be released to the world."
・Muneaki Masuda (Chairman and CEO of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd.)
"I feel that making a film is similar to starting a new business. I believe that the common thread among successful businesses is the "perseverance of people."So this time, we selected people who are passionate about filmmaking, or who we felt were passionate about it. Cool ways of living can be found in books, movies, and music. We started TSUTAYA with the aim of creating a place where people could easily enjoy this. The themes of each of the works selected today are not based on profit, but rather share our mission of "proposing a lifestyle."I would like to continue to create great works with everyone and work hard to make the world a better place."
