On Friday, July 3, 2020, Kitamura Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Hiroyuki Hamada), a member of the CCC Group, opened Shinjuku Kitamura Camera, a new specialty store offering lifestyle suggestions related to photography and cameras, in Shinjuku, the mecca of cameras. The store will offer a richer photo lifestyle to everyone, from photography and camera enthusiasts to beginners.

The store is spread across seven floors, from the basement to the sixth floor, and offers a variety of content to meet various photography needs, including a camera sales floor, a vintage salon focusing on Leica, a service counter offering support for repairs and daily maintenance, a book lounge where you can enjoy photo printing or reading over a cup of coffee, a rental studio fully equipped with professional equipment, and an event space for photo exhibitions.
The store design was created by TONERICO.inc, and the logo, which is based on the obscura, the origin of the camera, was created by Shogo Kishino (6D).

To commemorate the opening, the event space on the sixth floor, "Space Lucida," will host an exhibition by Mika Ninagawa, titled "Mika Ninagawa Exhibition: A Thousand Purples."


The store aims to enrich and enhance your life with photography, and offers suggestions tailored to the photo-related needs of the situation, such as "capturing," "preserving," "repairing," "discovering," "learning," "relaxing," and "connecting."

We always have approximately 6,000 cameras and lenses in stock, including new, used, and vintage items.
It is also possible to combine cameras and lenses in a "new x used" combination.
We also offer over 60 types of mount adapters, offering new ways to enjoy your camera.

You can print photos and create photo books while enjoying a book or coffee.

●Establishment of "Re-pro Center" for purchasing, repairing and maintaining products
Repair times, which previously took about a month, can now be completed in as little as five days by partnering with factories, improving speed and maintenance quality. We also offer camera customization services such as changing the paint job or replacing the leather upholstery of your beloved camera, as well as rental services for popular cameras and lenses. *Depending on the content, it may not be possible to finish within 5 days. note that.

●A vintage salon with a premium feel
We will be exhibiting and selling Leica and other famous cameras, including some of the most rare and valuable.

●Rental studio
The professional photographer's studio is equipped with professional lighting and photography equipment, as well as post-shooting retouching equipment, and is available for rental. *Scheduled to open in August

●POP UP space, selected products
We offer a wide selection of exclusive camera goods, including products carefully selected by our camera concierge and original items featuring artwork by Paris-based artist Philippe Weisbecker. Additionally, the first floor space will sell original sake from Suigei Brewery in Kochi Prefecture, the birthplace of Kitamura.
