Welcia Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tadahisa Matsumoto; hereinafter referred to as "Welcia") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroaki Nagashima; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") have begun distributing a service on the "Welcia Group App" for smartphones that allows Welcia customers to check the store's congestion level by time of day, allowing them to avoid crowds when shopping.
Even after the state of emergency was lifted, the new coronavirus continues to rage, and avoiding the three Cs (closed spaces, crowded places, and close contact) is being called for as a "new lifestyle" as a long-term measure to prevent the spread of infection.
This time-of-day congestion check service for Welcia stores allows customers to check the congestion level of each store by time of day on their smartphones, with the aim of ensuring that Welcia customers can enjoy shopping safely and with peace of mind.
To use this service, simply install the Welcia Group App (link below) and enter the name of the store you wish to use within the app. You will then be able to check the hourly congestion status for each day of the week for free from the app. Please note that this congestion status is based on store usage data from the same day of the previous week and is not real-time congestion status.
Welcia and T Point Japan will continue to work together to provide high-value services to customers so that they can enjoy shopping even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
