One More, which operates the major domestic crowdfunding site "GREEN FUNDING," has begun full-scale operation of the points funding site "GREEN x T Point" as a new support system since May 2020.

This time, for the first time, we will be proposing a popular manga project that has been running for many years. Going forward, the CCC Group plans to continue to utilize its assets to help build a bridge between fans who support Shogakukan characters and the content, and to engage in projects that use T Points to support in ways that meet the needs of fans. In addition, we will explore new publishing content businesses by utilizing the knowledge gained from this initiative and the popular character assets owned by Shogakukan's character development team.

Through "GREEN x T Point," T Point Japan and One More will propose monetization of content from various publishers and support digital marketing to new fan bases, primarily young people.

Background to the project launch

The popular manga "Asari-chan" was serialized in Shogakukan magazine for 36 years from 1978, and last year in 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the first time author Mayumi Muroyama* and her sister began collaborating on the manga.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, Shogakukan's character development team has renovated the official website and launched an official Twitter account, and has focused on digital and social media marketing, including releasing some past works, character collaborations, and releasing the new work "Reiwa no Asari-chan."As a result, the official Twitter account now has over 25,000 followers, and the series has not only rekindled fans from the time of serialization, but has also been successful in gaining new fans, such as parent-child fans.

As a new initiative, the project will be launched through the point funding platform "GREEN x T Points," with the aim of expanding the fan community and monetizing content in a new way through digital utilization.

*"Muroyama Mayumi" is the joint pen name of her older sister, Muroyama Mayumi, and her younger sister, Muroyama Mariko. They are also recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "Most volumes published in a single comic book series by a duo (female authors)."

*Illustrations published in past works will also be used.

■ Future of the project
We will analyze data from project backers and use it for content marketing. We also plan to use T-Point coupons to encourage customers to visit our physical stores, and to promote our past works.

The outlook for "point funding" in the COVID-19 era

The point funding service "GREEN x T Points" is a service that connects users who want to support a cause using the T Points they have accumulated in their daily lives with project proposals.

We believe that this could become an unprecedented platform for support and encouragement for creators and artists in the "new normal" of the COVID-19 era.

Through "GREEN x T Points," the CCC Group will provide the experience value of "accumulating points to support others."

T Point Japan will continue to strive to ensure that T Points and T Cards "connect people and society" and will continue to work to create new social value.

About point funding "GREEN x T Points"

Point funding "GREEN x T Points" is a new form of crowdfunding that allows you to use your accumulated T Points to support your favorite artists and creators (initiators). Currently, the site features projects such as the idol group "=LOVE," the anime character "Tohoku Zunko," and young manga artists affiliated with Cork, and has garnered a total of over 1.3 million points in support.

Supporters can support their favorite projects with T Points every day. If you support us with T Points, you will be awarded "sTone", and once you have accumulated 10 of them you can win a "gacha". By drawing the gacha, you can receive digital content such as original illustrations by the creator as a reward. In addition, the number of points sent by supporters will be published in ranking form the next day, allowing you to enjoy comparing the number of support points sent by other supporters. The initiator will receive a cash back of 60% of the points they have contributed.
