TSUTAYA BOOKS Fukuoka Airport, operated by Kyushu TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuoka City; President and CEO: Yoshiari Takahara; hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA), will relocate and reopen on Saturday, September 26, 2020, on the third floor of the newly renovated domestic passenger terminal building at Fukuoka Airport.

Since opening on the first floor of Fukuoka Airport on March 31, 2017, TSUTAYA BOOKS Fukuoka Airport has offered books and miscellaneous goods to airport users and airport employees in a "BOOK & CAFE" style, where customers can choose a book while sipping coffee.

In conjunction with this relocation and renovation, we will be launching a "CAFE LOUNGE" service, where you can use our comfortable space for a flat rate of 500 yen (excluding tax) for 30 minutes. The CAFE LOUNGE offers views of the sky and planes from large glass windows facing the runway. Not only can you work comfortably thanks to its excellent facilities, including ultra-fast Wi-Fi and booths for online meetings, but you can also enjoy free drinks and snacks while reading from the lounge's 250 carefully selected magazines and books.

As an airport bookstore that serves as a gateway to Kyushu, the lounge exhibits works by four artists from Kyushu, with the hope that visitors will "encounter Kyushu art, get to know Kyushu artists, and fall in love with Kyushu."You can also purchase works you like.

We also have a selection of approximately 30,000 carefully selected books under the theme of "books to take with you on your travels, books to make your trip exciting," including business books that will spark ideas during your flight and literary works that you'll want to read while traveling.
Starting on the opening day, September 26th, we will also be selling a limited number of copies of the original anthology "Perch" by Naoki Matayoshi in advance.

Kyushu TSUTAYA will continue to create "an environment that makes people and the world happier = cultural infrastructure" in the Kyushu and Okinawa area, and will help create vibrant and desirable towns to live in by "proposing new lifestyles."
