— Aiming to create new industry-academia collaborations centered on consumer data and insights —
CCC Marketing Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura) is launching the "Student Marketing Study Group," an open innovation platform that will create new industry-academia collaborations between universities, research institutions, and private companies, centered on lifestyle data and insights from over 70 million consumers.
In July 2020, CCC Marketing established the CCC Marketing Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "CCCMK Research Institute") to provide useful information to help consumers realize their "slightly better" goals, based on consumption data, consumer insights and changes in mindset, as well as the social and economic environment. The Student Marketing Study Group, which is being launched, is part of CCCMK Research Institute's goal of creating innovation through co-creation with a wide range of parties, including consumers, companies, educational institutions, and local governments.
The research theme of the "1st Student Marketing Study Group" will be "Understanding modern consumption and creating new marketing plans from a young person's perspective." Six universities and four private companies will participate, and the group will be held online from September 26, 2020 to January 23, 2021. CCC Marketing provides a variety of assets, including data and research services, while also providing support based on its data science know-how.
Going forward, we will invite a wide range of universities, research institutions, and companies to participate in the Student Marketing Study Group, and will promote open innovation with the aim of creating new industry-academia collaborations centered on consumer data and insights.
