- A crowdfunding project by GREEN FUNDING -

As part of efforts to support restaurants and accommodation facilities in Tagajo City, whose sales and cash flow have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tagajo City Tourism Association, which has been commissioned by Tagajo City, and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., the designated manager of Tagajo City Library, have launched a crowdfunding project called "Wasshoi!! Taga Fan" through GREEN FUNDING.

This project aims to widely promote the appeal of Tagajo City's businesses and local specialties, and to receive support from fans. In return, Tagajo City will provide products and services that include an additional 30% to 50% of the support. As of October 8th, 76 businesses are participating, and fans can support them by selecting the businesses they would like to support on the GREEN FUNDING special website.

A portmanteau of the words "crowd" and "funding," it is a system in which individuals or organizations proposing a project raise funds via the Internet from supporters who want to support that project.

■About the Tagajo City Tourism Association
Based in Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture, this organization has 210 members who manage tourism events in Miyagi Prefecture and within the city, as well as manage and plan various tourism projects for visiting tourists.
In 2024, four years from now, the 1,300th anniversary of the founding of Taga Castle (since 724 during the Nara period) will be celebrated. To allow visitors to feel the weight of history that Tagajo City holds as it continues to develop in line with the flow of history, construction is underway to restore the magnificent and magnificent South Gate at the "Special Historic Site of Taga Castle Ruins and Temple Ruins," a nationally designated cultural property, in the style of the time.

■What is Tagajo City Library?
This library was relocated and opened in front of JR Tagajo Station in March 2016. The library is open 365 days a year from 9:00 to 21:30 and has a collection of 230,000 books. What is GREEN FUNDING?
