- "Gifts for the Future" selected by 10 of Tsutaya Bookstore's famous concierges -

TSUTAYA BOOKS supports this initiative and will be holding a fair at each store featuring paperback books selected by 10 of the 120 concierges at TSUTAYA BOOKS nationwide, which they have named "Concierge Paperbacks."

We believe that a bookstore is a place where people can find their place in a world overflowing with information and discover what they truly desire, and we call the support we provide for these discoveries and encounters "lifestyle suggestions."

At TSUTAYA BOOKS, concierges who are experts in various genres such as cooking, travel and literature act as guides for customers' discoveries and encounters, proposing lifestyle suggestions to customers through books, related goods, events and more.

Following on from last year, these concierges will be holding the second installment of the "Concierge Library" at TSUTAYA BOOKS nationwide in preparation for Book Day. 　The theme this time is "Gifts for the Future."Ten concierges will each select five titles based on a theme, for a total of 50 titles to be available at each store.

As a special bonus, those who present their T-CARD and purchase "Concierge Bunko" fair items during the period will be entered into a lottery to win a personal book selection service from a TSUTAYA BOOKS concierge. Four concierges representing TSUTAYA BOOKS will select books for you free of charge. If you tell us what you would like to read or what information you would like to know, we will teach you and suggest carefully selected books that fit your desired theme.

・"Author's Bookstore" project and online talk event with five novelists
On Book Day, Sunday, November 1, 2020, Futakotamagawa TSUTAYA BOOKS Electrics (Setagaya Ward, Tokyo) will be hosting an event titled "Author's Bookstore," inviting five novelists. Special booths will be set up inside the store, and books recommended by five novelists will be sold at each booth. Also on the same day, from 7:00 p.m., we will be live streaming an online talk entitled "Five Novelists Talk About the Appeal of Books and Bookstores on Book Day," featuring five novelists who will be setting up stalls at the "Author's Bookstore."
