CCC Marketing Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as "CCC Marketing") and Hakuhodo DY Media Partners Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hirotake Yajima; hereinafter referred to as "Hakuhodo DY Media Partners") will begin offering a joint promotional solution, "Apply with T Card x LINE," in January 2021, utilizing the T Point Alliance network, which spans a wide range of industries and includes over 5,700 companies across Japan.
As digital transformation (DX) accelerates, CCC Marketing and Hakuhodo DY Media Partners have decided to launch "Apply with T Card x LINE" to digitally connect products, stores, and consumers and create a fun shopping experience.
Hakuhodo DY Media Partners' "SP EXPERT'S"*2, certified as a "Technology Partner" in the LINE Biz Partner Program*1 and offering LINE-based sales promotion solutions using the Sales Promotion API, will leverage its strengths in the sales promotion field to develop a new solution that combines CCC Marketing, which has a T-member base of over 70 million people, with LINE, a communication tool used by over 86 million users (as of September 2020). This will be the first time that T-Point has collaborated with a common points service in a campaign application system via the LINE platform.
With "Apply with T Card x LINE," users can enter a campaign held on LINE and receive T Points as an incentive when they shop at participating T Point Alliance stores. We can also handle a wide range of incentives, including LINE Points. For manufacturers of beverages, food, and daily necessities, the service allows them to effectively promote campaigns on LINE, a platform that users are familiar with on a daily basis, and use the versatile T-Points and LINE Points as incentives, thereby boosting product brand awareness and promoting purchasing behavior. In addition, proof of purchase based on actual purchase data eliminates the need for traditional stickers and receipt images, reducing sales promotion costs and visualizing purchasing effects. Meanwhile, for T Point Alliance companies, it is expected that this will lead to the realization of digital promotions in physical stores, increased customer visits, and the acquisition of new customer segments, providing significant benefits to a range of stakeholders in consumer purchasing behavior.
CCC Marketing and Hakuhodo DY Media Partners will organically connect some of Japan's largest platforms using digital technology, creating small moments of happiness every day for each individual, thereby contributing to the realization of a prosperous society.
*1 The LINE Biz Partner Program was introduced with the aim of more actively promoting sales expansion and the addition and improvement of features for various corporate services provided by LINE. It certifies and awards advertising agencies and service developers in the categories of Sales Partner, Technology Partner, and Planning Partner.
Certification will be given to "Sales Partners" and "Technology Partners" in three categories: "Communication," "Advertising," and "Sales Promotion/OMO," as well as "Planning Partners."
