In the video category, due to the impact of COVID-19, which led to a series of postponements of theatrical releases, the rankings were dominated by titles that became available for rental in the first half of the year. Among them, the much talked about film "Joker," which made waves at the 2020 Academy Awards and grossed over 5 billion yen at the box office, was well received by people of all ages and took the top spot.
In music, Kenshi Yonezu's album "STRAY SHEEP" took the top spot with overwhelming power despite being released in August. Additionally, the single "Gurenge," the theme song for the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," reached number one, and "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" also overwhelmingly took the top spot in comic rentals, symbolizing the unprecedented boom.

In terms of DVD/Blu-ray sales, the live video work of Arashi, who will finally go on hiatus on December 31, 2020, achieved the first million sales of the Reiwa era, taking the top spot.
In terms of games, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," which has become a hot topic with many celebrities publicly declaring themselves to be players, came in first place.
