This award has been held annually since 2012 to recognize outstanding examples of innovation that are transforming the world in order to revitalize the Japanese economy, and aims to promote innovation in Japan by allowing industrialists to learn about the process.

"T Point/T Card" has been awarded the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award for creating economic and social value through Japan's first common ID platform and for providing new value to consumers and businesses. JATES cited the following reasons for the award: each partner company has acquired members on its own, strengthened its base, and diversified and shared sales promotion methods, including mutual customer referrals, to create a virtuous cycle that leads to business expansion; and although the business scheme has now grown to the point where many similar competitors have entered the market, each partner company has also contributed to the costs of acquiring members, making it a truly co-creation business model, which was evaluated as "a common ID platform business that is ahead of its time."

In 2003, when individual company-based sales promotion and customer retention had become the norm and it was difficult to gain understanding for the concept of "standardizing customers (members/IDs)," "T Point/T Card" was born as Japan's first cross-industry, cross-business ID platform with the participation and cooperation of companies that agreed with the possibility. Since then, we have provided value to our partners, manufacturers, and consumers through our unique database of ID and POS data, as a big data analysis and marketing tool that transcends business types, regions, stores, and online/offline. As of 2021, the number of registered and annual active members exceeds 70 million, the number of partner companies is approximately 5,900, and the number of T Card issuing bases has expanded to 77 companies.

T Point Japan's group mission is "UNIQUE DATA, SMALL HAPPY." Based on marketing data that links TV viewing data, online advertising, and purchasing data, the company provides end-to-end visualization and automation services for advertising and sales promotion. It also promotes the digital transformation of its partner companies by using common functions for smartphone apps, including "Mobile T Card."In addition, for consumers, we provide various values through the unique "shared ID platform" known as "T," including the "T Card Everyone's Social Project," a social value co-creation project that utilizes T's unique data and assets, based on the brand concept of "T connecting people and society."

T Point Japan will continue to face a society that will continue to show volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, and will continue to work to create new social value, aiming to be a presence that connects people and society, helping companies solve their management and marketing challenges and bringing joy and empathy to each and every consumer.
