Marugame City (Mayor: Kaji Masaharu, hereinafter referred to as "Marugame City"), in partnership with Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Masuda Muneaki, hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), will open the Marugame City Citizen Exchange Activity Center "MARTAS" as a hub for urban development next to the new Marugame City Hall building on Monday, March 22, 2021. As the designated manager, CCC will create a space where Marugame citizens can gather and interact with one another.

"MARUTAS" is a central facility for urban development that supports the "first steps" of each individual who will be responsible for the future of Marugame. This popular facility is home to the cozy "BOOK & CAFÉ," where you can read a book and drink coffee anywhere in the building. In addition to a separate kids' space where children can play freely and read picture books, and where events for children are held, there is also a study space where children can concentrate on their studies in a calm atmosphere, as well as rental conference rooms and a multipurpose hall that can be used flexibly depending on the purpose. The library is open 365 days a year from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm, and you can come into contact with the books and activities taking place within, filling the space with new discoveries and realizations.

7 Features of "Maltas"

1) Open 365 days a year, from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM. This is a public facility that is open at any time and can be used wherever and however you like.

2) The seating capacity is approximately 300. BOOK & CAFE, one of the largest in Kagawa Prefecture, offers a variety of seating options with approximately 7,000 books to read. You can choose the location depending on your mood and purpose. Of course, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Approximately 110 seats with power outlets are available.

3) On the second floor, there is a kids' space with a view of Marugame Castle. It is a space where children can have fun without worrying, and events for children are held every day. We also have 20 types of educational toys that encourage learning and discovery.

4) The study space, with approximately 80 seats, is the largest in the city. We create a comfortable learning environment.

5) We have six rental conference rooms available to choose from depending on your needs. There is a "ROOM" that can be used for small meetings and events, as well as a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate up to 200 people.

6) Give shape to your vision for the city at Maltas, the city development hub. We provide intermediary support services to respond to various inquiries regarding NPOs and civic activities.

7) A wide variety of events will be held every day. Of course, you can choose events that interest you, but you can also feel free to check out events in genres you're unfamiliar with. There will also be a market outside the building. At Maltas, you have the opportunity to make friends and expand your horizons.
