CCC Marketing Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura; hereinafter referred to as "CCC Marketing") and T Point Japan Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroaki Nagashima; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") have begun supporting tourism marketing by utilizing the "Unique Data*1" database of T Points, which is used by 70 million people, equivalent to one in two Japanese people. As the first step, on Friday, May 28th, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (hereinafter referred to as "TAT"), they launched a special page promoting the attractions of Thailand, "Start your first trip in a long time in Thailand, a country of relaxation."
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage, as of February 2021, the number of Japanese travelers traveling abroad has recorded a significant decrease of -98.1% compared to the same month last year*2. T Point Japan and CCC Marketing will begin working with tourism boards and local governments in various countries to provide marketing solutions that connect travel-loving customers with local locations even during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing them to enjoy traveling with peace of mind once the pandemic has subsided.
Using unique data, we provide comprehensive support, from promoting awareness and understanding of tourist themes to tour creation and sales. We are attracting travel enthusiasts even during the COVID-19 pandemic, including holding fairs at Tsutaya Bookstore.
Our tourism marketing support utilizing unique data includes promoting awareness and understanding of themes to attract visitors, designing tours, direct marketing to T members who match the target demographic, and creating and selling tours on the travel information site "T Travel."
Additionally, we will continue to promote the attractions of tourist destinations both online and offline, including by setting up a special page to share the latest information and attractions of each destination, and holding fairs at physical stores such as Tsutaya Bookstore, and will implement measures to motivate our fan base to travel abroad.
By managing customer responses at each stage in a database, we are able to approach customers who are more interested at the right touchpoints, and we will use this information not only to promote the tour in question, but also to propose new tours in the future.
[First step] Launch of joint campaign with the Tourism Authority of Thailand
We have opened a special page where you can enjoy the charms of Thailand and a tour sales page!
We have also launched our first initiative with the support of TAT and tourism marketing.
The newly launched special page will introduce Thailand's COVID-19 prevention measures, as well as recommended spots and leisure activities in Thailand with themes of "girls' trips," "mother-daughter trips," and "family trips" based on the concept of "Let's relax and smile," in order to reach as wide a range of fans as possible with the charms of the region even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
