- "SHARE LOUNGE" combines the convenience of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge, launching overseas for the first time -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. Tsutaya Bookstore Company (hereinafter referred to as TSUTAYA) and its subsidiary Taiwan Tsutaya Co., Ltd. (http://tsutaya.com.tw/) have changed the name of the "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama Ekimae Store," which opened in November 2017 as the second "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE" in Taiwan, to the "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama Store." The store relocated and reopened on August 20, 2021, on the third floor of "CITYLINK Matsuyama Store No. 1," a commercial facility directly connected to Matsuyama Station operated by RUENTEX GROUP, a Taiwanese partnership company.

In addition, TSUTAYA has eight stores in Japan offering a new business concept called "SHARE LOUNGE" (https://tsutaya.tsite.jp/store/lounge/) will also be available at the store for the first time overseas.

CITYLINK Songshan 1st Store, where TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama will be relocated, is a terminal building directly connected to Songshan Station on the MRT and Taiwan Railway, and is located halfway between Raohe Street Night Market, one of Taipei's most famous night markets, and Wufenpu Clothing Plaza, a fashion wholesale market.

With this relocation and renovation, the sales floor area has increased to approximately 2.3 times larger (1,250m2) than before the relocation, and the number of books available has increased to approximately 1.5 times larger (30,000 books).In addition to strengthening the selection of business books, children's books, and stationery, the store will also offer the popular Taiwanese coffee chain "LOUISA COFFEE" and cooking classes "Cooking & Living."The store aims to be a space filled with lifestyle suggestions that will help the many customers who use Matsuyama Station to enjoy a better life. 　

TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE will continue to inspire the creativity of people in Taiwan, offering new reading styles and exciting experiences, and aims to become a special place loved by many.

Overview of the relocation and renovation of "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama Store"

1) "SHARE LOUNGE," which combines the convenience of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge, opens overseas for the first time
In conjunction with this renovation, the new store will be the first overseas location of TSUTAYA's new "SHARE LOUNGE" concept, which combines the convenience of a shared office with the comfort of a lounge. The cozy, lounge-like space is decorated with carefully selected furniture and offers a wide range of amenities, including free drinks and nuts, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, and books and magazines for you to read in the "SHARE LOUNGE."In the future, we plan to hold business matching events and various collaborative events, and aim to create a place where people who live and work near Matsuyama Station can gather and interact, both as a cafe and as a place to work.

2) Proposing a work style for people who can work freely without being tied to a specific location
For customers working in Taipei, who often work from home or cafes, the store will offer a "SHARE LOUNGE" and a selection of books and work-style stationery items that will inspire new hints and ideas. The store will also work with Taiwanese startups to provide advice on starting a business and support creators hoping to expand into Japan through crowdfunding and other means.

3) A wide range of products to enjoy for all ages
The TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Matsuyama store is approximately 1250m2 in size and stocks a total of approximately 30,000 books and magazines. We offer a wide range of books, including cooking and children's books for families, design books for creators, and art suggestions to add color to everyday life, providing a space that can be enjoyed by individuals or with the whole family.

We also carry TSUTAYA's own private brand stationery products, such as "HEDERA," as well as stationery imported from Japan that can only be purchased at "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE."

4) Food suggestions that will make your daily life more enjoyable
Following the "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Nangang Store" and "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Kaohsiung Store," we will be expanding our stores throughout Taiwan, and will be opening "BOOK & CAFE" together with "LOUISA COFFEE," a popular coffee chain loved in Taiwan. Taiwanese customers can relax and enjoy a book while enjoying the familiar atmosphere. Additionally, for the first time at LOUISA COFFEE, we have adopted an auto-drip machine that brings out the original flavor and aroma of coffee beans.

As a suggestion for enjoying food at home, the cooking class "Cooking & Living" will be seamlessly integrated with the recipe book section, and will pursue the beauty of life in a space filled with nature, helping to heighten one's sensibilities through food.
