-Through public-private data collaboration, we aim to create a richer, more fulfilling life for the community and its citizens-

CCC Marketing Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura), a member of the Culture Convenience Club (CCC) Group, is pleased to announce that it will be making its "T" lifestyle data available to the public and participating in Aizuwakamatsu City's Super City initiative, with the aim of creating a rich lifestyle that is of high value to the local community and its citizens.

In Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, a citizen-centered, opt-in smart city has been developing over the past 10 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Currently, the initiative is expanding to cover 12 areas related to citizens' lives, with more than 30 companies, Aizuwakamatsu City, Aizu University, and others working around the city's ICT office, "Smart City AiCT" (Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture).

In conjunction with its participation in Aizuwakamatsu City's Super City Initiative, CCC Marketing has joined the Super City AiCT Consortium, a general incorporated association, and aims to share its lifestyle data with the public and private sectors through an opt-in system. We are also planning to move into Smart City AiCT this fall, and will contribute to the realization of Japan's Society 5.0 by working together with many stakeholders, primarily the Smart City Aizuwakamatsu participating organizations, to create a model case for Japan that will lead to true regional coexistence.

Based on its founding intention of "providing a base for providing information on new lifestyles," CCC has expanded TSUTAYA bookstores to become places rooted in every region of Japan, creating new communities and value. In addition, the "T Card," which was launched in 2003 as a common ID across various industries, has evolved to include "T Points" and "T Money," features that can be used at public facilities and on public transportation, collaborations with characters and artists, and features that lead to support and encouragement, and is now used daily by 70 million people across Japan.

Meanwhile, following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, CCC Marketing has been working with a variety of people from across business fields to tackle social issues facing local communities and promote coexistence by utilizing T-Card data and assets.

Recently, efforts are underway to create super cities and smart cities, which are "fully future cities" that address local issues using cutting-edge technology. CCC Marketing aims to maximize the use of its assets and resources to realize super cities and smart cities that will increase the value of the region and its citizens and lead to a richer life, and will work in various regions across Japan in the future.

Shojiro Nakamura, Managing Director and Co-Head of Accenture Innovation Center Fukushima

We welcome CCC Marketing's participation in Aizuwakamatsu City's Super City Initiative, aiming to increase value for the region and its citizens based on data and realize a richer lifestyle. In Japan, the data held by private companies is not being fully utilized for the benefit of local communities and citizens. If we can build a public-private data collaboration model in Aizu, it will be a major step forward towards realizing a smart city in which citizens play a central role. I hope that together we can create a new way of developing cities that can serve as a model for the rest of the country.

CCC Marketing's group mission is "UNIQUE DATA, SMALL HAPPY." Our major mission is to connect "individual lifestyles" with the "society" that surrounds them, and to create small moments of happiness every day for every person in the world. We will continue to refine the important and diverse data entrusted to us by our customers into valuable information, and by working together to address various social issues and find solutions, we aim to realize a sustainable and better society.
