Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. Tsutaya Bookstore Company (hereinafter referred to as "TSUTAYA") and indent Inc. (Head office: Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture; CEO: Kamagata Yuki; hereinafter referred to as "indent"), which provides the writing tool "Nola," used by approximately 200,000 writers to support the creation of structured stories, will hold the award ceremony for the "1st Next Generation Writers Literary Award" on Thursday, September 9th. In addition, the awards ceremony will be streamed live online from 1:30 pm on the official TSUTAYA Instagram account.

Actor Ryunosuke Kamiki will be the special presenter at the awards ceremony. They will liven up the awards ceremony by talking about their impressions of the Grand Prize winning work and their thoughts on the future of entertainment works.
The awards were established in collaboration with Tokuma Shoten and Earth Star Entertainment in three categories: "General Entertainment Novels," "Light Novel Literature," and "Comic Adaptation Originals." A total of 921 works were submitted in these categories, and after careful selection by employees of the publishing companies, the "Nola" editorial department, and the co-sponsoring companies, the grand prize winners for each category will be announced.
Through this award, TSUTAYA and Indent will fully support the creators of the next generation and aim to create entertainment works that will be enjoyed by a wide range of generations.

What is the Next Generation Writers Literary Award?
Co-hosted by TSUTAYA and Nola, this is an unprecedented open literary award that aims to "support the next generation of authors who will lead the book and manga industry in the future" and "provides comprehensive support for authors, from their writing environment to nationwide sales."
By using "Nola" during the creative stage, we provide an environment in which you can write a deep and consistent story, from forming a plot with an introduction, development, twist, and conclusion, to organizing your manuscript by chapter, and setting up the characters and worldview.
The winning work will receive a cash prize and will be guaranteed publication by Tokuma Shoten and Earth Star Entertainment, both of which are part of the TSUTAYA group.
In addition, the book will be widely promoted and sold at the book and comic section of approximately 800 TSUTAYA stores nationwide.
