- Towards research, development and presentation of ethical consumption for consumers, focusing on food -
CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuhiko Kitamura) will hold the first online meeting of the "Ethical Consumption Study Group," which conducts research and development from various perspectives on ethical consumption by consumers, mainly in the area of food, and presents the results of its research, on Friday, September 3, 2021, with 20 participants from distribution, manufacturers, and experts. Through this initiative, we aim to realize a world in which ethical food is distributed throughout the food chain without the burden being unevenly distributed among consumers, manufacturers, and distributors, and in which consumers regularly purchase ethical food at their local stores, and we will take on the challenge of presenting useful suggestions to stakeholders in the food industry.
The Ethical Consumption Study Group is a research group within CCC Marketing's co-creation platform, "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab." It was established in April 2021 with the aim of researching ethical consumption among consumers, particularly in the area of food, through collaboration with a wide range of parties, including companies, educational institutions, and local governments.
The first Ethical Consumption Study Group will use the Ethical Survey released in April to understand the current state of affairs and needs of consumers in the area of ethical food. The group will then work with distributors, food manufacturers, and experts to consider a marketing framework for selling products, with the aim of sorting out general issues and developing a framework for ethical food consumption. Furthermore, the research findings will be published to the public as they emerge, and we will collaborate with the "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" to continue dialogue with various stakeholders across industries, with a focus on consumers.

CCC Marketing's group mission is "UNIQUE DATA, SMALL HAPPY." Its major mission is to connect "individual lifestyles" with the "society" that surrounds them, and to create small moments of happiness every day for every person in the world. It aims for T Points and T Cards to "connect people and society."We will refine unique data into valuable information and work together to address various social issues and find solutions.
About "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab"
This is a co-creation platform that will challenge itself to promote ethical food action in society by engaging in dialogue with T members who are "actively pursuing an ethical diet," as determined based on all lifestyle data from their T Card, and experts with knowledge and diverse perspectives in the fields of SDGs, sustainability, food, and marine policy, to work together to realize "sustainable food." It will focus on two themes: product development and awareness-raising efforts that focus on untapped resources within "ethical food," and the creation and use of an "ethical food score (tentative name)" that will serve as an indicator of consumers choosing better consumption behavior.
