Meitetsu Department Store Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; President and CEO: Hiroshi Shibata; hereinafter referred to as "Meitetsu Department Store") and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") aim to provide a "special space" for customers who use the department store, and to propose a lifestyle where they can encounter and discover new lifestyles centered around books, stationery, miscellaneous goods and the "SHARE LOUNGE" (https://sharelounge.jp/). In conjunction with the completion of the remodeling of Meitetsu Department Store Main Branch, they opened "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Meitetsu Nagoya" on the 8th floor of the Main Building on Wednesday, December 1st.
"TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Meitetsu Nagoya" is based on the concept of "a bookstore that makes department stores even more fun," and is a lifestyle-oriented bookstore that offers a wide selection of books, stationery, and miscellaneous goods, mainly in the categories of "food," "beauty," "lifestyle," and "travel," for customers of Meitetsu Department Store, and can be enjoyed alone, with friends, or with family.
Furthermore, with the hope of promoting the healthy growth of children, the bookstore will have a "kids' space" where children can spend time reading picture books, as well as a wide selection of children's books and educational toys, and aims to be a "special space" where three generations of parents and children can spend quality time together.
It also houses the first "SHARE LOUNGE" in the Tokai region. "SHARE LOUNGE" combines the convenience of a "shared office" with the comfort of a "lounge." It is a new space that can be used as both a cafe and an office, allowing you to spend your time freely and in your own way to your heart's content. The cozy, lounge-like space is decorated with carefully selected furniture and offers a full range of amenities, including free drinks and nuts, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, and approximately 2,000 carefully selected books and magazines.
You can use this cafe to enjoy conversations with friends and family, or as a place to concentrate on studying or work alone. In the future, we plan to hold workshops and talk events as a community space where people can meet.

For customers of Meitetsu Department Store, we will offer stationery and miscellaneous goods that suggest lifestyle ideas along with books, focusing on the categories of "food," "beauty," "lifestyle," and "travel."We will create opportunities for customers to encounter new lifestyles by offering a comprehensive range of food-related books and miscellaneous goods.
2) A kids' area that can be enjoyed by three generations of parents and children
In the center of the store, there is a "kids' space" where children can have fun playing while reading picture books. In addition to a wide selection of children's books, the store also stocks educational toys that can be given as gifts, creating a space where three generations of parents and children can have fun choosing products together.
3) The first SHARE LOUNGE in the Tokai region
The cozy, lounge-like space is decorated with carefully selected furniture and offers a full range of amenities, including free drinks and nuts, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, individual booths where you can concentrate on work alone, and a selection of approximately 2,000 books and magazines. There are 73 seats available.
You can also pay smartly using cashless payment methods such as credit cards, transportation IC cards, T-Money, and PayPay. We recommend using the SHARE LOUNGE app to make reservations and pay in advance for smart check-in and check-out. If you pay through the app, you will also receive a 10% discount on your bill.
