-The 11th tournament will be held at the inaugural venue, Kagoshima Takamaki Country Club, with spectators for the first time in five years!-
T-Point Japan Co., Ltd., Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., CCC Marketing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "CCC Group"), and ENEOS Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "ENEOS") will hold the "T-Point x ENEOS Golf Tournament" (hereinafter referred to as the "Tournament"), a women's professional golf tour officially recognized by the Ladies Professional Golf Association of Japan (JLPGA), at Kagoshima Takamaki Country Club (Aira City, Kagoshima Prefecture) for three days from Friday, March 18th to Sunday, March 20th, 2022. Tickets for the Tournament will go on sale from today.
This will be the 11th tournament since its first event at Kagoshima Takamaki Country Club in 2010, and will be held in Kagoshima with the cooperation of Misumi Co., Ltd., a business partner of the four companies. Last year's 10th tournament was held without spectators to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so this will be the first time the tournament will be held in Kagoshima with spectators in five years, since 2017. With expectations for golf continuing to grow, following the first ever silver medal won by a women's golfer at the Tokyo Olympics held last July, a total of 108 players, including top professionals, will be competing in a heated battle.
This tournament will take infection prevention measures in accordance with the spread of COVID-19, government guidelines, and the "Guidelines for COVID-19 Prevention Measures for Professional Golf Tournaments in Japan," which serve as guidelines for the operation of professional golf tournaments. In addition, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, tickets for this tournament will be sold electronically, with a limit of 3,000 tickets per day. For details, please visit the official tournament website (http://t-pointladies.jp/) for more information.
The tournament also has the slogan "Bring smiles to Kagoshima. Smiles from Kagoshima. Based on the concept of "Through the power of sports," we plan to use the power of sports to bring smiles to the faces of the people of Kagoshima and the participating athletes. Specifically, we will be holding a "Smile Illustration Contest" in which we will solicit illustrations on the theme of "smiles" from elementary school students in Kagoshima, and the submissions will be displayed at the venue and other locations during the event.
Through the heated battles between players putting on their best performances, the CCC Group and ENEOS will deliver to everyone the joy of golf and the true essence of sports - moving people's hearts.
