Press Releases
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. / Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd.
Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuo Nakanishi; hereinafter referred to as CE), a group company of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC) that provides content such as videos and publications, is pleased to announce that as of March 30, 2022, it has changed its capital structure and become an equity-method affiliate of CCC, going from being a consolidated subsidiary.
■ Purpose of changes to capital structure
Since its establishment in 2014, CE has served as a core business company of the CCC Group, planning, producing, and procuring entertainment content, including video, publishing, music, IP products, and digital services, with the aim of supplying them to CCC's entertainment platform.
As entertainment platforms have become more globalized and diversified in recent years, CE believes that in order to grow and expand, it is essential to invest in content creation and develop sales channels that are not bound by traditional frameworks, in a highly independent management environment. As a result of discussions between CCC and CE, this change in capital structure has been reached.
With this change in capital structure, CE aims to create high-quality content by strengthening its content planning and production functions, media mix development, and promoting DX (digital transformation) of its business.
Going forward, CE will continue to maintain and strengthen its collaboration and cooperation with the CCC Group, while also actively engaging in business alliances with various partner companies, primarily shareholders, in order to become an entertainment content production company that offers entertainment content in a variety of ways that meet customers' desires.
