Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. began voting for the 6th annual "TSUTAYA Comic Awards, chosen by everyone" on Friday, April 1st.

This award is the only manga award that determines the next big hit, the "next breakout," comic work, solely through reader votes. The purpose is to suggest new recommendations from readers to readers.
The "TSUTAYA Comic Awards Chosen by Everyone" is an award that allows you to find out about upcoming and notable works early on through recommendations from comic book lovers, including "Jujutsu Kaisen" (2019 Grand Prize), whose animated film was recently released at the end of last year, "SPY×FAMILY" (2020 Grand Prize), whose TV anime will start airing in April, and "My Dangerous Wife" (2021 Grand Prize), which was selected from a record 20,000 votes last year.

Following on from last year, this will be the sixth time the awards have been held, and the awards will be hosted by "comicspace," a manga review information service with one of the largest databases in Japan, with over 200,000 registered works. https://comicspace.jp/ ), and "BookLive" (), the largest e-book distribution service with a cumulative total of over 560,000 titles distributed. https://booklive.jp/ ) and the event has been decided to be held as a joint project with these two companies.
This year, each company will once again conduct a rigorous screening of the titles that received the most votes, and will announce the winners in two categories: the Comicspace Award, which selects works with the most enthusiasm based on Comicspace users' reviews, ratings, and attention, and the BookLive Award, which selects works that are particularly popular among BookLive readers.
The Grand Prize winner and winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony scheduled to be held in mid-June and will be prominently displayed in the book sales and rental comic sales areas of TSUTAYA stores nationwide. Voting comments from readers expressing their thoughts on the works will also be displayed in sales areas nationwide. In addition, we will be running a campaign in which 10 readers who vote will be entered into a lottery to win 3,000 TSUTAYA-exclusive T points (※).

Overview of the 6th Annual TSUTAYA Comic Awards
・Voting conditions for works: Unfinished manga works with up to 5 volumes published as of March 31, 2022
・How to vote... Choose up to three works from the special page on the manga review information service "comicspace" and vote.
*Everyone's review scores are samples
・Voting period...April 1, 2022 (Friday) to May 15, 2022 (Sunday)
・Counting method: The number of votes from users will be added to the number of votes from TSUTAYA bookstore staff nationwide, and the results will be tallied.
The work with the most votes will be awarded the Grand Prize, followed by 2nd place to 10th place.
・Results will be announced at the awards ceremony in late June 2022
-TSUTAYA Limited T-Point Giveaway Campaign: After voting on the special page within "comicspace," 10 people will be randomly selected from those who post the displayed image on Twitter with the hashtag "#TSUTAYAComicAward" to receive 3,000 TSUTAYA Limited T-Points. Winners will be notified via direct message to their Twitter account after the voting period ends.
*Winners will be announced in lieu of being awarded T Points.
