-We are conducting a ``Web Designer Training Course'' to help build a vibrant local community. Total support right up to employment
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Masuda Muneaki, hereinafter referred to as CCC) and Digital Hollywood Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Yoshimura Takeshi / President: Sugiyama Tomoyuki, hereinafter referred to as Digital Hollywood), a CCC Group company that operates a human resources training school, university and graduate school for ICT-related and digital content, will once again support the operation of the "Takahashi City Human Resources Development Project 2022: Web Designer Training Course," which is being implemented by Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture, with the aim of creating a new local industry, as they did last year. Applications for this course will begin on Wednesday, June 1st, and are open to Takahashi residents and those planning to move to Takahashi City.
Takahashi City is located in the central-western part of Okayama Prefecture, where you can experience historical heritage and culture, such as Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property and one of Japan's 100 most famous castles, historic buildings such as Fukiya Furusato Village, known for its red streets lined with Sekishu roof tiles and bengala plaster walls, and the traditional performing art of Bitchu Kagura. On the other hand, our city is located in a mountainous area surrounded by lush mountains, and is working on projects to build a vibrant local community, with the theme of responding to a society with a declining population.
As part of this, CCC and Digital Hollywood have been holding this course since last year in collaboration with Takahashi City to support people in acquiring the skills they need to become web designers, in an age where working styles are becoming more diverse, with people moving to rural areas and working remotely. Last year, 13 people took the course, and they were very satisfied with it. (See attached sheet)
In this course, participants will take a curriculum that combines live lessons from Digital Hollywood instructors with on-demand video materials to acquire practical skills, and will also receive online learning support tailored to each student's learning situation. Furthermore, by creating connections between participants through workshops and events held at Takahashi City Library, where the course will be held, and through a tutoring system run by graduates who completed the course last year, we hope to create a community centered around Takahashi City Library and contribute to the development of a vibrant and attractive Takahashi city.
In addition, we aim to create new local industries by providing support for employment after graduation, such as matching students with companies and helping them start businesses in the city.
Going forward, CCC will continue to utilize the resources of the CCC Group, including Digital Hollywood, to help resolve local issues stemming from population decline and an aging society, as well as contribute to urban development that fosters connections.

[Student comments]
Please feel free to give us your opinions regarding the operation and schedule.
・We had many opportunities to get together, so it was easy to get along.
・I had to do this work in parallel with my job, and the tight schedule made it a little tough, but I was very grateful that they were able to operate flexibly despite the COVID-19 pandemic, including by providing online classes.
・I think it was enough. The schedule was quite tight, but I think that was unavoidable. They provided detailed support, such as providing space for studying.
How do you plan to use the skills you have acquired in the future?
・At first, I thought it would be enough if I could just acquire skills, but now that I have the opportunity, I would like to use it in my work. For now, I would like to work part-time while continuing my current job.
・I would like to use it for job hunting and creating websites for acquaintances.
・At first, I thought it would be nice to be able to use what I learned in my job to produce printed materials, but now my goal has become higher: I would like to continue studying to improve my skills after graduation and incorporate design work into my current job.
・Firstly, I would like to improve my skills by helping with web development in the local area.

[Course overview]
■Business card exchange session: The students submitted the business cards they had created to a printing company, and then brought them to an exchange session with other students and instructors. It was a very moving experience to actually receive the final product.
■Live classes: Online live classes were also conducted smoothly by connecting with instructors in Tokyo via Zoom. Basically, each class consists of "commentary on submitted assignments," "lectures on knowledge and techniques related to web design," and "office hours."Students were able to participate in classes from home or the library, and if they had any questions, they could use Zoom's chat function to have their doubts answered in real time.
■ Closing ceremony: A closing ceremony was held to conclude the course. Each participant gave a five-minute presentation to Takahashi City Hall and the Kibi Cable Television filming staff about the web pages they had created as a result of their six-month work, covering everything from the plan and objectives to the final product. For their final assignment, some students chose local companies as clients, and many of them were able to experience everything from interviews to design.
