In addition, in conjunction with the renovation of Kanazawa MZA, a long-established department store that opened 49 years ago and is operated by Kanazawa Marukoshi Department Store Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Atsuta Takaaki), a member of the Hero Group, TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Kanazawa MZA will open on the third floor of Kanazawa MZA on Friday, August 5, 2022.

The Hero Group is currently expanding its business across the country in a wide range of industries, along with the development of its core business, the discount supermarket chain "Hero."Based on our corporate management philosophy of "Advancing freely with heart," we aim to become rooted in the local community and contribute to it, while moving forward together with everyone.

Meanwhile, CCC has adopted the slogan "Eliminate towns without bookstores," and is promoting the nationwide expansion of "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE," which is based on the book & cafe style and is a place that offers a new style of reading, rather than just a place to buy books, and is a place to choose books.

In addition to books, stationery, miscellaneous goods and cosmetics, TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Kanazawa MZA will also carry products from Tsutaya Electrics, the first such store in the Hokuriku region, creating a bookstore that offers a more diversified lifestyle.

Furthermore, this fall we plan to open the first "SHARE LOUNGE" in the Hokuriku region inside "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE.""SHARE LOUNGE" combines the convenience of a "shared office" with the comfort of a "lounge." It is a new space that can be used as both a cafe and an office, allowing you to spend your time freely and in your own way to your heart's content.

The cozy, lounge-like space is decorated with carefully selected furniture and offers a full range of amenities, including free drinks and nuts, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, and a selection of carefully selected books and magazines.

You can use this cafe to enjoy conversations with friends and family, or as a place to concentrate on studying or work alone. In the future, we plan to hold workshops and talk events as a community space where people can meet.

Starting with the opening of "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Kanazawa M'za," the Hero Group and CCC aim to develop stores that allow customers to discover new lifestyles in line with the lifestyles and values that have changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
