Super Sanshi Co., Ltd. (Head office: Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture; President and CEO: Tanaka Isamu; hereinafter referred to as "Super Sanshi"), which operates supermarket and store delivery businesses (online supermarkets) mainly in Mie Prefecture, and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Sugiura Keita; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") have concluded a basic agreement on a business partnership that will include the provision of T Point services to member companies of "JAPAN NetMarket," the online supermarket operated by Super Sanshi.

Demand for online supermarkets has been increasing rapidly in recent years due to the increasing need for time-saving among dual-income generations and the spread of "new lifestyles" such as avoiding crowded places and close contacts brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, due to factors such as a declining workforce and rising labor costs, local supermarkets are seeing the introduction of "store DX" that utilizes digital technology as an urgent issue.

Super Sanshi, which operates 13 supermarkets mainly in Mie Prefecture, began its store delivery business in 1984 and launched an online delivery service in 2000. It has developed an online supermarket service that offers high customer value based on an efficient delivery scheme, including building its own delivery network, introducing a monthly membership system, and meticulously optimizing its smartphone app. Furthermore, since 2019, the company has been expanding its online supermarket know-how and scheme to other supermarkets under the name "JAPAN NetMarket," and it has already been adopted by 19 companies.

T Point Japan provides T Point, a common points service that can be used to shop at approximately 150,000 stores, both in real-world and online, to approximately 70 million T Members. Based on the purchasing information collected from T Members, T Point Japan also provides database marketing such as optimal recommendations, product ordering, and product development, supporting the core business of T Point partner companies.

Under this basic agreement, the two companies will begin collaborating to provide T-Point services to JAPAN NetMarket member companies and to support retailers' digital transformation. We also plan to use database marketing that integrates real-world and online purchasing information to create a system that will enable us to provide high-value services to customers through OMO (Online Merges with Offline), such as optimal recommendations, product ordering, and product development.

Furthermore, in order to provide the convenience of online supermarkets to all T members, we will propose the introduction of "JAPAN NetMarket" and the T Point service to partner companies of both companies, focusing on local supermarkets, with the aim of expanding nationwide. As the first step of this business partnership, from around November 2022, A-Co-op East Japan Co., Ltd., a T-Point partner company that operates food supermarkets in the Kanto and Tohoku areas, will begin offering a service that allows customers to earn T-Points by using JAPAN NetMarket.
