Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Masuda Muneaki, hereinafter referred to as CCC) launched "Wata Lab" on September 4th as a project to support women in starting their own businesses through life shifts. The concept is to create a laboratory for people who want to work happily and in their own way in the era of 100-year lifespans. The company was commissioned by the Women's Participation Promotion Division of the Gender Equality Department of the Citizens' Affairs Bureau of Fukuoka City.

"Wata Lab" is a life-shifting entrepreneurship seminar program for women that aims to provide startup support to women who choose to work sustainably in the pursuit of their passion while finding fulfillment, purpose in life, and social value, and to help them achieve self-realization and improve their well-being in an era in which values regarding work and lifestyles are diversifying.

Since 2014, CCC has been commissioned by Fukuoka City to operate the Startup Cafe, with the aim of "expanding the base of entrepreneurship and start-ups in Fukuoka City."Since its establishment in 2014, the center has contributed to supporting startups in Fukuoka City by providing over 16,000 consultations and helping to start more than 600 companies (as of the end of March 2022) through individual consultations, events, seminars, and networking events.

Going forward, CCC will utilize the know-how and track record it has cultivated through the Startup Cafe, as well as its experience in hosting events focused on women, to provide women who aim to work in their own way through WataLab with three programs that will enable them to meet colleagues who are working toward the same goals, and to acquire the knowledge and skills to survive in the new era.

"Wata Lab" Programs

In addition to attending seminars through the three programs - Program 1: Think, Program 2: Learn, and Program 3: Communicate - participants can also use the Startup Cafe at any time to develop business ideas and consult with the on-site concierges and experts.

[Program 1] Life Shift Seminar (5 sessions)
Through talk seminars where role model lecturers and guests share their experiences and advice, as well as through discussions and workshops among participants, participants will delve into their own strengths and values and create a life plan for the future.
