■General comments
"General Entertainment Novel Category" / Tokuma Shoten Literature Editorial Department
Easy to read. This is my impression of the works submitted for the second edition of this award. The writing was mostly flawless, the story development followed standard formulas, and many of the works were easy to read from start to finish. However, I felt that the work was somehow lacking. I think the reason for this is that the characters are driven solely by the demands of the story. Such works tend to give the impression of being "easy to read but convenient," and tend to result in low levels of satisfaction. To break away from that, I would have liked to see them take an approach where they delve deeper into the characters and let the story move forward at their request.
Thank you very much for applying to this category.

"Light Novels Division" / Earth Star Novel Editorial Department
It seemed like many of the works were constructed with unique worldviews and characters, but in terms of readability, such as story development and tempo, many of the works were not suitable for our "light novels."
Unfortunately, we were unable to select a grand prize winner, but there were many works that showed great potential.
I think it would be even better if you focused on making it easy to read and smoothly drawing the reader in.
Thank you very much for your application to our Light Novel Literature Division.

"Comic Adaptation Original Category" / From the Sony Music Entertainment Editorial Department
As this was a category for original comic adaptations, in addition to the world view, character settings, and compositional ability, we also considered the interestingness of "expressing the story in pictures" while visualizing the story in one's mind as an important point in the selection process.
All of the works were full of passion and were fascinating, and it was very difficult to narrow down the works at the final selection meeting. However, in addition to the points mentioned above, I chose the work that I felt most strongly had the power to keep the reader engaged until the very end.
Once again, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who applied in this category.
