In various companies, there are people who value a perspective on social issues and are working hard to find ways for them to intersect with their daily work. Approaching social issues that at first glance do not appear to be directly linked to profits, and considering them in parallel with business, is still an unexplored field. When turning a project into a project, there are high hurdles to overcome in the process of determining its meaning and reaching consensus within the company, and even if there is will and enthusiasm, difficulties often prevail.

The Social Business Lab focuses on the people scattered throughout each company, sharing with each other the origins of their projects, their current situation, results, and outlook for the future, and aims to connect with each other as peers who learn from each other, thereby becoming a hub for moving society forward in their own places.

From November 2022 to March 2023, we will hold several workshops aimed at business people who are implementing or aiming to implement social action initiatives that utilize the characteristics of their own businesses, primarily based on personal issues. In the workshop, we will analyze the behind-the-scenes of projects that have presented new ways of thinking and values to society, and have those involved in the projects share their specific efforts. We will explore the perspectives and tips necessary for social action, and form a community where we can learn from each other.

Social Business Lab Statement

Keep asking. A new relationship between business and society.
The attitude of companies is now being questioned. Gender, well-being, sustainability, sexuality. In a situation where we must face various issues in order to create a society where everyone can live comfortably, the existing social structures and businesses have begun to unravel little by little.
In such a situation, what can we, as employees of a company, do?
How can we explore what only a company can do from within and move the company and society forward?
We will explore and implement future actions, cultures, and businesses, transcending corporate boundaries, titles, and rules. That's the Social Business Lab.
What we want to explore is the combination of social issues and business. A new relationship between business and society. And a bright future.

・CCCMK Holdings Co., Ltd. School General Election Project

https://youthvote.tsite.jp/

The School General Election Project is based on CCC's founding intention of "providing a base for young people with information on new lifestyles," and is a "place" where young people who will be responsible for the future can co-create new discoveries and ideas that will serve as the foundation for living in the future. Aimed at the younger generation, from junior high and high school students to those in their 20s, we will raise themes related to issues affecting the future generation of young people from a wide range of areas, from politics and social issues to higher education and school, and provide neutral information on the issues raised and a forum for deeper dialogue among people of the same generation. By actually "voting" on the website, we will create an opportunity for each junior and senior high school student to take an active role and express their opinions. We also publish articles on note reporting on voting results that compile the "voices" of junior and senior high school students, as well as interviews with experts, and we also provide a forum for planning and dialogue with opinion leaders.

We build our methods of expression and communication around the unique values of each individual company and brand. At koko, we focus on issues that individuals cannot avoid when living in society, such as gender and sexuality, sustainability, mental health, and well-being. We team up with people who are involved in planning and production, and we value bringing in diverse perspectives and ideas into the production process. By questioning the existing "normal," we will explore ways of inclusive expression in the fields of advertising, creative production, and content distribution.
