- Proposing a new form of workplace that fosters communication -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masuda Muneaki; hereinafter referred to as CCC) has teamed up with KDDI Web Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yamazaki Masato; hereinafter referred to as KDDI Web Communications) to open its first office building location, "SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae," on Thursday, December 1, 2022, with the aim of proposing a new form of office space through a space that provides a place for communication and idea generation.

The spread of COVID-19 has dramatically changed the way people work, creating new challenges for the office environment, including an increase in office vacancy rates, a decrease in attendance rates, and an accompanying lack of internal and external communication.

SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae, the first of its kind to open in an office building, proposes a new way of creating a workplace that fosters communication. As a "third workplace" where diverse talent from both inside and outside the company can freely gather, we aim to provide a place where people can meet and have new experiences that they would not be able to meet at home or at work.

SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae offers a comfortable working environment, similar to a shared office, with special private rooms that feel like study rooms and spacious conference rooms. Furthermore, SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae will have a permanent bookshelf stocked with books selected by a variety of unique and well-known people, and in collaboration with a sound designer, speakers installed in each area will play different music, creating a comfortable space where you can find inspiration and take a break from work.

Going forward, CCC, together with KDDI Web Communications, will use SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae to not only provide a new workplace, but also to host a variety of events, aiming to become a starting point for communication design that provides a real-life connection between workers in nearby offices and the diverse customers who gather in Gaienmae.

Features of SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae

1. A special private room like a study
This is a rich and relaxing space surrounded by books, where you can concentrate on work or reading at your own spacious desk. In some private rooms, you can also enjoy playing your favorite music from your smartphone.

2: Two types of conference rooms to choose from
Choose from an 8-person conference room with a large opening that lets in plenty of light, or a 6-person conference room that feels like a VIP reception room, depending on your needs.

3. Sunny window seats with great views
The seats by the window offer a great view. You can also enjoy the night view at night, allowing you to start or end your day relaxing and taking in the scenery.

4: Ample semi-private booth space
It can be used when you want to concentrate alone or for web conferences. (※This is not a soundproof room.)

5. A well-stocked bookshelf with plenty of interesting reading material
You are free to pick up and enjoy books of various genres at SHARE LOUNGE Gaienmae. If you like a book, you can order it. (This will be supported in due course)
In addition, there are permanent special shelves with books selected by unique and famous people, such as Koten Radio, which teaches history in an entertaining way, the editorial staff of the super mystery magazine "Mu", Makiko Shinoda, director of Yale Co., Ltd., and Yasunaga Ogita, an Arctic adventurer.

6. Music to choose from
Different music produced by 3D sound designer Seto Katsuyuki plays in each area from the speakers installed in each area. You can enjoy the music however you like, choosing your favorite sound and sitting down, or moving seats to change your mood.

7: Free drinks and snacks, Wi-Fi, and a full range of amenities
The cozy, lounge-like space is decorated with carefully selected furniture and comes with a full range of amenities, including free drinks and nuts, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, and display rentals.

8. A convenient app for reservations and smart check-in/check-out
Reservations can be made using the official "SHARE LOUNGE" app from two weeks in advance (14 days in advance) up to 15 minutes before the start time of use. In addition, if you register your credit card or other card information on the app and make a reservation through the app, you can check in and make payment by holding the QR code over a dedicated terminal installed in the store. Your payment will be automatically settled by credit card upon check-out.
