-We will also consider co-creation with companies participating in "TOKYO Ethical"-

CCCMK Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takahashi Yoshinori) has launched the "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" (http://www.tcard.com/), a co-creation platform that utilizes T Card data and assets to engage in dialogue with various stakeholders across industries, primarily with consumers, to think about and take action on ethical food actions that will lead to the global issue of "sustainable food."https://ethicalfoodlab.tsite.jp/) is currently underway. We support the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's approach to promoting "ethical consumption," which involves selecting products and services with consideration for people, society, and the environment, and will be participating in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "TOKYO Ethical" initiative.

The environment surrounding us today is faced with a variety of global social issues, including unresolved social development challenges such as poverty, hunger, and education; economic challenges requiring all countries to achieve sustainable economic growth, such as the effective use of energy and resources, improving working styles, and eliminating inequality; and environmental challenges that must be addressed on a global scale, such as the global environment and climate change. These challenges have led to the establishment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with 2030 as the target year for achieving them.

Food, in particular, is an important and essential part of our lives. From primary production to final consumption, food is made up of a food chain in which all stakeholders work together to produce, process, distribute, store, and sell food. This is one of the simplest and easiest areas for each individual consumer to understand, and where sustainability can be addressed in daily life. On the other hand, when we turn our attention to sustainable food, we see a variety of issues arising from a lack of ethical consideration, such as a lack of environmental consideration in agricultural and marine production, the yearly increase in energy and water usage and emissions during production and transportation, food waste, excessive packaging, and unfair payment of wages to workers. In these ever-changing times, we believe that if each individual consumer thinks little by little about choosing ethical foods that suit their own lifestyles in their daily meals and shopping, we will eventually be able to move closer to realizing "sustainable food."

CCCMK Holdings launched the co-creation platform "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" in March 2021 based on the idea that it is because the various food-related data collected from T Card customers is connected to each individual that it is possible to create a sustainable social impact in the field of food. From March 2021 to the present, the "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" has been mainly working on the following three projects.

1. Towards the formulation of "Ethical Food Standards" and the provision of "Ethical Food Action Score"
The Ethical Food Standards are one of the standards created to ensure that companies and products are ethically mindful of the environment, animals, people and society, and politics. Currently, there is no clear definition or standard for ethical food, making it difficult for consumers to know which foods are ethical. Ethical foods are also found in the foods that consumers purchase at their regular stores, and we have created the Ethical Food Standards to inform consumers which foods are ethical. Going forward, by providing an "Ethical Food Action Score" based on the "Ethical Food Standards," we will work with all stakeholders involved in food, including consumers, manufacturers, and distributors, to promote the spread of ethical food in society. I hope so.

2. Initiatives for the "Unused Fish Utilization Platform"

Through the "Goto Fish Project" (https://tsite.jp/r/tcardsocial/goto/) implemented in 2018, we came to realize that, precisely because Japan is blessed with a rich sea environment, it is possible to utilize "unused fish" while gaining the sympathy of consumers by adding value through various ingenuity, and ultimately building the future of the bounty of the sea, sustainable fishing, and Japanese food culture. The Unused Fish Utilization Platform is leveraging the experience gained from the Goto Fish Project to tackle social issues that would be difficult for a single region or company to solve alone, working together with a wide range of stakeholders with expertise, including T members who actively practice ethical eating habits, local stakeholders such as government officials and local businesses, distribution companies, and chefs. As a first step, we are working with Yawatahama City in Ehime Prefecture and Funabashi City in Chiba Prefecture.

3. Initiatives of the Ethical Consumption Research Group
We hold the Ethical Consumption Study Group, which conducts research and development from various perspectives on ethical consumption by consumers, mainly in the area of food, and presents the results of that research. Through this initiative, we aim to realize a world in which ethical food is distributed throughout the food chain without the burden being unevenly distributed among consumers, manufacturers, and distributors, and in which consumers regularly purchase ethical food at their local stores, and we will take on the challenge of presenting useful suggestions to stakeholders in the food industry.

Through "TOKYO Ethical," CCCMK Holdings will participate in creating a social movement to make ethical consumption a part of everyday life, and by co-creating with various companies that share the same passion for ethical consumption, will further promote the efforts of "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" as a co-creation platform. Together with all stakeholders involved in food, including consumers, manufacturers, and distributors, we hope to spread ethical food even further in society, and each and every activity of the "T Card Everyone's Ethical Food Lab" will contribute to creating a food cycle that will connect to the future.
