T-Money Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masakazu Tanio; hereinafter referred to as "T-Money") and the Kakubancho Shopping District Promotion Association (Location: Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture; Representative: Shinjiro Mori; hereinafter referred to as "Kakubancho Shopping District") will begin offering the electronic money "T-Money" service at 31 stores in the Kakubancho Shopping District, including JU Yonago Takashimaya, from Friday, December 16, 2022.

Background: Promoting cashless transactions and digital transformation through electronic money "T Money" as a "local currency" for shopping districts

In Yonago City, approximately 70,000 people, or more than half of the population, and approximately 80% of men and women in their 40s, use T-Cards.To enable Yonago residents to enjoy shopping in the Kakubancho Shopping Street more conveniently and with greater savings, the T-Point service was launched on January 14, 2022, and is currently available at 31 stores in the shopping street, including JU Yonago Takashimaya.

To make shopping more convenient and safe even during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced the electronic money "T-moneyWe have decided to introduce "Furthermore, by having "T Money" widely used as a "local currency" in shopping districts, we will promote cashless transactions throughout the entire shopping district, including individual stores, and support the revitalization of the local economy through DX (digital transformation).

This initiative: Complete "T-Point acquisition and payment" with a single presentation

"T Money" can be used by presenting your "T Card/Mobile T Card" when making a purchase. When paying with T Money, in addition to the points you earn with regular shopping, you will also earn 1 T Point for every 500 yen (tax included) you spend with T Money each month. Furthermore, you can use the T points you have accumulated by charging them to "T Money" for your next purchase.

In addition, T Money can be charged using the T Money charging machine being installed on the first floor of JU Yonago Takashimaya, as well as by automatic charging with a credit card, deferred charging with Paidy, and T Money gift cards (POS cards).

In addition, to commemorate the launch of the T-Money service at Kakubancho Shopping Street, a Daily Charge Campaign will be held from Friday, December 16th to Sunday, January 15th. Customers who charge their card using the charging machine located on the first floor of JU Takashimaya will receive 200 T Points for charges of 5,000 yen or more (limited to one per person per day). Customers who charge 3,000 yen or more to their T Money account using the charging machine located on the first floor of JU Takashimaya will receive 30 T Points (limited to one per person per day).
