CCCMK Holdings Promotes Increased Visitor Population in Hamadori, Fukushima Prefecture

This project aims to increase the number of visitors to the "15 municipalities in the Hamadori region and other areas," which includes the 12 evacuation areas of Fukushima Prefecture (Tamura City, Minamisoma City, Kawamata Town, Hirono Town, Naraha Town, Tomioka Town, Kawauchi Village, Okuma Town, Futaba Town, Namie Town, Katsurao Village, and Iitate Village) and the three new municipalities (Iwaki City, Soma City, and Shinchi Town). This project will involve a unified approach to developing content across a wide area, disseminating information in a unified manner, and operating a forum that will attract business operators from both inside and outside the region, in order to encourage visitors to consume goods and services within the 12 municipalities.

CCCMK Holdings will work in collaboration with HAMADOORI13 (Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture), a general incorporated association whose philosophy is to realize regional collaboration led by young people in the Hamadori region and contribute to sustainable regional development while expanding that harmony. CCCMK Holdings will promote this project by leveraging its track record in data marketing and knowledge of creating spaces for co-creation with diverse stakeholders.

Specifically, to create attractive content for the Hamadori region, we are considering alcohol and gourmet food, sports, art, history and culture, horses, the sea and nature, etc. As a first step, we plan to implement an initiative themed around "alcohol and gourmet food" by March 2023, and an initiative related to "art" is also planned for the rest of 2023. We will also be opening an information website to communicate and co-create information from multiple perspectives for people outside Fukushima Prefecture who are interested in the people, lifestyles, and products of the Hamadori region.

CCCMK Holdings' group mission is "UNIQUE DATA, SMALL HAPPY." Our major mission is to connect "individual lifestyles" with the "society" that surrounds them, and to create small moments of happiness every day for every person in the world. We aim to create a sustainable and better society by refining unique data into valuable information and working together to address social issues in the Hamadori region of Fukushima Prefecture.

Comment from Project Manager and HAMADOORI13 Director Manabu Yoshida
The reconstruction of Fukushima and the Hamadori region has been carried out on two fronts: environmental restoration (mitigating environmental contamination caused by radioactive materials dispersed by the nuclear disaster) and regional restoration (social services and industries damaged by evacuation), which has been carried out in stages in areas where the environment has been restored. As for environmental restoration, most residential areas have been decontaminated and reopened, but the accompanying regional restoration has been slow in the Hamadori region of Fukushima Prefecture, where evacuation remained for a long period of time. The wide-area marketing project for 15 cities and towns, including the Hamadori region, is a project to promote regional revitalization, and is expected to generate many exchanges and stakeholders, promote the development of retail stores in local shopping districts, restaurants, and service industry businesses, and encourage evacuated residents to return to the town or relocate. The content created by the people who have overcome the earthquake and nuclear disaster and are working hard is a unique feature of this region, and we hope that many people will become aware of this hidden charm of the 15 cities and towns in the Hamadori area and other areas. We aim to achieve reconstruction through wide-area collaboration, working together with members from the Hamadori region and CCCMK Holdings.

Comment from Koichi Hashimoto, Director of CCCMK Holdings, project owner
The primary objective of wide-area marketing collaboration is to increase the number of people who interact with each other. Through events and content planning that rediscover the charm of the region, we will meet people who are active in 15 cities and towns, including the Hamadori region. From there, the circle of people who interact and are involved expands beyond the local area. We will widely disseminate information about attractive people, cultures, and local specialties that will make people think, "I want to meet them again," "I want to support them," and "I want to visit them."This will ultimately lead to business promotion in the Hamadori region and other areas, as well as the liveliness of the town. We will work together with the local HAMADOORI13 members and local government officials to share ideas and cooperate to realize this virtuous cycle.
