■About the course
This course offered a curriculum that combined live lessons from Digital Hollywood instructors with on-demand video materials to help students acquire practical skills, as well as online learning support tailored to each student's learning situation. The course was held at Takahashi City Library, where we created a community among participants by holding workshops and events and providing a tutoring system with graduates who completed the course last year.
A graduation presentation was held in February 2023, and all 11 students presented their graduation projects and completed the program.

Over a period of about six months, I was able to efficiently acquire knowledge and skills related to the web by combining video materials and live classes. In addition, with last year's graduates participating in the running of the courses as tutors, the community has become even more active, and there is a trend towards securing work not only within the city but also from outside and creating new businesses.

Based in Takahashi City, we will continue to support the creation of new businesses in which our graduates can thrive.

・At first, I was just hoping to acquire skills that would be useful in my current work environment, but now I've come to think that I would also like to try doing this as a side job.

・I started this course when I was feeling physically and mentally weak, but I was healed by the personalities of everyone involved. I started out feeling anxious, thinking about my future career, but as I steadily gained more and more skills, I was able to settle into a good cycle of calmly continuing my studies. The best part about this experience was meeting everyone and improving my skills. thank you very much.

・It was a very fulfilling course. However, for someone like me who is used to offline, there were some things that were disappointing about online. But that was also a good learning experience.

While working on web production, I would like to do video production and also try flying drones in the future! I guess you could say that things are changing, but my interests are expanding in concentric circles, with web design at the center.

Feedback from instructors at the graduation presentation

Takahashi City is located in the central-western part of Okayama Prefecture, where you can experience historical heritage and culture, such as Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, one of the 12 remaining castle towers and a national important cultural property, and Fukiya, the birthplace of Japan Red, which was designated a Japanese Heritage Site in 2020, as well as the traditional performing art of Bitchu Kagura.
On the other hand, our city is located in a mountainous area surrounded by lush mountains, and is working on projects to build a vibrant local community, with the theme of responding to a society with a declining population.

Since the founding of Digital Hollywood University in 2005, Digital Hollywood has standardized education and improved its effectiveness through "blended learning," which combines video materials with face-to-face classes. Leveraging this know-how, Digital Hollywood Academy provides support services for introducing and utilizing online classes for universities, vocational schools, high schools, junior high schools, elementary schools, cram schools, disability support service companies, and educational service companies.

Experiencing the threat of COVID-19 has raised questions about how best to integrate online and real-world education.

For example, in subjects where there is a shortage of specialized instructors with extensive practical experience in the digital creative field, this service improves the quality of education and student satisfaction by utilizing video teaching materials taught by professional creators/engineers. At the same time, it will also improve the efficiency of lessons for the basic skills that are taught repeatedly every year. We will use the additional time created through these improvements to promote adaptive learning, which provides detailed responses tailored to the goals and objectives of each student.

To achieve these goals, we provide a wide range of support, including the provision and development of video teaching materials, curriculum renewal, teacher training, teacher introductions, dispatching Digital Hollywood teachers to conduct on-site and online classes, and even support for student recruitment and job hunting.
