CCCMK Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takahashi Yoshinori; hereinafter referred to as "CCCMKHD") conducted a sports-related questionnaire survey and announced the "Sports Player Panel x 6 Sports," which captures the lifestyle characteristics of players in baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, walking, and running.
A large-scale panel that has expanded from 12,000 sports player CORE members to an estimated 70 million T members
This panel is a consumer panel that allows for analysis of lifestyle characteristics such as purchasing trends of sports players from each sport, as well as direct approaches via direct mail, etc. An online survey by T Research was conducted on 95,000 T members from September 29 to October 31, 2022, to investigate their "sports playing status (sports, years of continued use, etc.)," "sports watching status (sports, places to watch, motivation, satisfaction/dissatisfaction, etc.)," and "usage status of 67 sports brands (apparel, shoes, goods, years of use, satisfaction/dissatisfaction, etc.)."As a result, we extracted a "sports player CORE layer" of 12,000 people, 2,000 of whom are enthusiastic players of each of the six sports: walking, running, golf, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Furthermore, by expanding the "CORE sports player demographic" to approximately 70 million T members and building a panel of "estimated sports player demographics," we were able to approach a larger customer demographic directly through not only product development and sampling, but also digital distribution and direct mail.
[6 sports x 67 brands] Visualize the personas of users of each brand
Furthermore, by combining this panel with T-Point purchasing data, it is possible to analyze the lifestyle characteristics of players in each sport. For example, people who play golf tend to prefer foreign brands in clothing, enjoy outdoor leisure and sports, and have a strong desire to be "in the know."Additionally, people who play basketball tend to care about how others view their clothing, like new things to do, and tend to post information via social media. By understanding the lifestyle characteristics of each sport, gender, and age group, you can use this information to develop products that match needs and for effective promotional activities. It is also possible to visualize the personas of users of each brand based on the survey results on "Usage of 67 sports brands."In addition, these analyses are also provided as BI tools, allowing customers to conduct their own analyses and visualize personas (with some exceptions). By gaining a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the consumers who use your brand, you can use this information to help with your branding and marketing activities.
