- Proposing a new way to enjoy watching golf that incorporates the Nordic concept of "hygge" -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC")'s "CCC OUTDOOR LAB," which carries out various activities to make the outdoors a culture, and Nordisk Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hironobu Washizaki; hereinafter referred to as "Nordisk"), which has a mission to introduce the Nordic lifestyle to Japan and focuses on the outdoor lifestyle, have set up an "outdoor viewing area" that proposes a new way to enjoy watching golf, incorporating the Nordic concept of "hygge," at the JLPGA Tour "T Point x ENEOS Golf Tournament," held at Kagoshima Takamaki Country Club (Aira City, Kagoshima Prefecture) for three days from Friday, March 17th to Sunday, March 19th, 2023.

Since the first tournament was held in 2010, CCC has implemented many projects that have led to new golf tournaments. This 12th tournament will be the first to be held without restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and CCC OUTDOOR LAB and Nordisk have implemented a new initiative that allows people of all ages and genders to enjoy watching golf at their leisure in the lush greenery of the golf course.

Denmark, where Nordisk is headquartered, is known as the "happiest country in the world" and is known for the high level of happiness among its citizens. In Denmark, there is a special word called "hygge," which describes "a rich way of spending time and a state of mind, a comfortable time and space that is relaxing and soothing, and the sense of happiness that comes from that experience."This time, we have adopted the Nordic concept of "hygge" as a new way to enjoy watching golf, and created an "outdoor viewing area" directly behind the teeing area of the 9th hole, with lounge chairs for relaxing inside a large tarp set up to block out the sun and wind. We also have an outdoor model booth that conveys the world of "hygge" offered by Nordisk.

Many spectators flocked to the outdoor viewing area every day, and by watching the players' heated battles as they put on their best performances, we were able to convey to them the joy of golf and the true essence of sports - moving people's hearts.
